• The dimensions of the fences will be as per BE100 arena eventing classes.
• Although for some of the XC fences, smaller (or less spooky) options will be offered as an alternative but on a longer route so competitors are more susceptible to time penalties .
• There will be no more than 25 jumping efforts in total.
• The course will finish with the last fence as a showjump, the ‘joker fence’, which will be approximately 10cm higher than the rest of the course.
• The optimum time is calculated based on a speed of 375 m/min.

Dogs: Well behaved dogs on leads permitted.

Vaccinations
In line with BD, BS and BE current vaccination regulations, this event operates on an annual booster policy.
All horses must have passports to accompany them and spot checks will be conducted by the AEA. At the very minimum, the horse must be 7 days clear of the second injection to compete. The primary course consists of:
Injection/ Timeline
First Injection Day 0
Second Injection Between 21 and 60 days after first
Third Injection Between 120 and 180 days after second
Booster Vaccine Vaccinations must be within 12 months of the third injection

Restrictions
Horses must be a minimum of 4 years of age and must not compete in more than 4 classes per day, with Loriners Eventing counting as two classes. Combinations can compete Hors Concurs (HC) providing entries are made via My Riding Life and HC is declared before the class commences. No prize money or rosettes will be awarded for HC competitors. Combinations are still bound by the rules.

Horse Welfare
This event operates within the FEI Code of Conduct for the Welfare of the Horse in all respects, and fully supports the British Equestrian Federation’s Charter of the Horse in order to maintain standards in competition. The expectation is that when mounted or non-mounted the welfare of the horse is paramount and requires competitors and supporters to adhere to the principles of good horsemanship at all times. All those involved in the show, in arenas or on the showground, are to adhere to the Code of Conduct, and the welfare of the horse must never be subordinated to competitive or commercial influences. Personnel found in breach of horse welfare or demonstrating unacceptable behaviour will be asked to leave the venue immediately. Disciplinary action will be considered against military personnel.

Stallions
Stallions are permitted at the show centre. Stallion disks and white ribbons are to be clearly displayed at all times. When led in-hand an appropriate bridle is to be fitted. It is the responsibility of the owner, lessee, Authorised Agent, or rider to take adequate precautions to ensure other horses/ponies, competitors and members of the public are not put at risk of injury.

Contesting Results / Complaints
Contesting results or formal complaints must be made to the Organiser, not the venue, through the relevant Service representative.

Accident / Incident
Accidents or Incidents should be reported to the show office immediately. The venue and organiser will both be notified and deal with incidents accordingly. First aid cover will be provided on site during both competition days.

Out of hours medical attention should be sought via Emergency Services. The closest A&E department is: Leicester Royal Infirmary, Infirmary Square, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE1 5WW (13 miles / 35 mins). Open 24 hrs for all ages. Tel: 0300 303 1573.

Payment Details & Event Fees

Entries in advance. You can book using our Secure Online Entry System.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Pickering Grange Equestrian.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.

Stabling Information: Yes
Hook up £40 a night
£40 per night bookable via My Riding Life Entries. Shavings available to purchase for £10 per bale.
No mucking out equipment will be made available. Competitors must bring their own equipment, feed and buckets.
Stables will be empty on arrival and may be sited on hardcore ground with no matting, shavings will be required and can be purchased on site.
Military Working Horses or stallions requiring separate stabling must add this to the entry notes and contact the venue to confirm via events@pickeringgrange.co.uk.

Refreshments:
Saturday Evening meals - £15.00 plus vat pp. The Café will be open for the duration of the event.

Withdrawals/Refunds
Entries inc. stabling and hook up received by the Secretary may be cancelled in writing prior to the Closing Date and will be refunded entry fees less a £5 admin fee and less any administrative charges by the Third Party My Riding Life.

Terms & Conditions
Eligibility to enter this event
All entrants must declare which of the below eligible categories they fall into and provide their Service or Collar Number, Rank/Grade in the class notes box during the online entry process.
Unfortunately, veterans, civil servants and families are not eligible to compete. Failure to provide these details will result in refusal of entries.
• Serving members of the RAF, RN and Army (Regular and Reserve).
• Serving members of the UK Emergency & Prison Services (no requirement to be Forces Equine members but must ride in uniform).
• Competitors must be 18+ years of age.

London International Horse Show (LIHS) Qualifier
Please note there are additional restrictions for this class in accordance with the UKAF Equestrian Association competition policy:
• Serving members of the RAF, RN and Army (Regular and Reserve).
• Serving members of the Police (must be warranted and eligible to ride in uniform).
• Competitors must be 18+ years of age.

Loriners Inter-Service Eventing Class (Class 22a & b)
Please note there are additional restrictions for this class in accordance with the UKAF Equestrian Association competition policy:
• sS Team Managers are to enter their 4x horse (inc. registered competition name) and rider combinations manually via email to: Sarah.Karim100@mod.gov.uk by 13 May 26.
• Whips and callers not permitted.
• BE regulation XC safety equipment must be worn for the Arena Eventing phase.
• The Loriners mounted prize giving will take place immediately after the last Loriners rider has competed. Combinations are then to return to stables, untack and return for the lunch.
• Riders in this class are responsible for booking their stabling requirements directly with the venue via online entries. •
Personnel must adhere to all Loriners Inter-Service rules and regulations outlined within the 2026 UKAF Competition Policy. Uniform
• UKAF. UKAF personnel are to wear uniform in accordance with single Service dress regulations. In the event of warm weather, short sleeve order will be permitted.
• Emergency & Prison Services. Service uniform equivalent.

Prizes
Rosettes: 1st – 6th place in all classes. Championship rosettes for the highest and second highest placed Dressage and Showjumping riders over the two days. Prizes: 1st – 3rd in all classes, prizes for the Loriners Inter-Services class provided by the Worshipful Company of Loriners and for the Freestyle to Music class by Albion Saddlemakers. Prizes 1st – 5th in the LIHSQ class, sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Loriners. Dressage & Showjumping Champions will each receive a £400 saddlery voucher, sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Saddlers.
Dressage Champion / Reserve Champion: The combination who places consistently highly in their best 2 scoring dressage tests over two days. In the event of a tie, the highest collective marks, assessed as a % of overall possible collectives of their highest scoring test, will differentiate the winner.
Showjumping Champion / Reserve Champion: The combination whose SJ results accrue the highest number of points over two days (maximum of four classes) using the table below. Additional points are awarded for double clears. In the event of a tie, time will be the differentiator.

Prize Givings / Results
Results will be released on the My Riding Life event page. Where prize givings are scheduled, these will be visible on site at the start of each day and confirm time and mounted / dismounted. All other prizes / rosettes will be made available to collect from the office. Personnel should attend prize giving's in uniform. If unable to attend due to class timings / early departure, they should nominate a suitable representative to collect the prize on their behalf.

Bridle Numbers
Only 1x bridle number is required to be displayed for classes at this event. Competitors are to supply their own bridle numbers. Saddlecloth numbers may be used instead. Horses must have their allocated bridle number on them at all times when not in the stable/transport attached to bridle/saddle cloth/rug/head collar.

Arena Walks
Arena walks will take place at (please insert) time Monday and Tuesday prior to classes commencing. A bridle / saddlecloth number must be worn. Competition attire is not required but tack and any safety equipment must correctly fitted.

Dressage Classes
Dressage will run under BD rules (less bridle / cloth numbers, where only 1x is required). Whips and callers permitted for all classes, except the Loriners Dressage class.
Riders or horses with BD records must be eligible for Bronze or Silver level of the BD eligibility tables to compete in that class. Combinations with no BD record will be expected to enter the class at an appropriate level, in keeping with the spirit of the competition.
Music must be submitted to the secretary on the day of the music class via CD or memory stick only. A second back up copy is recommended to be submitted in the event of a technical issue. Showjumping Classes
All SJ classes will run under BS rules.

Venue Terms & Conditions
By attending this event either on foot or as a competitor, all personnel agree to abide by the terms and conditions of the venue, which are available to view on the Pickering Grange website. The organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health, safety and welfare of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring, and must obey instructions of the organisers, officials and stewards.
The organisers will not be held responsible and accept no liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, rider, spectators, vehicles or their contents and accessories, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. It is a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify against any legal action arising from such incident.
