Show Information

Mini Championships: 20th / 21st / 22nd August - This is aimed at under 14's & is a fun learniing championship.

Regional Championships: 23rd & 24th August - is for those who have qualified at Area Competitions.

Dressage Classes are new for 2025, individuals only - open to all members, Regional Champs competitors can enter classes 16 &17 only. Next year Dressage will be a part of the Championships... so this is great practice!

Rosettes to 6th place & to be collected from the secretary

Each District Commisioner is required to certify the eligibility of each combination & declare teams, when entries are done we will ask for the Riders name, Pony's Name & PC Branch, it is then for the DC to email the teams details in via the official form which will be emailed to them directly...

When not competing horses/ponies must be kept to the lorry park / stable area or collecting rings. They must not be exercised in the lorry park or led around among spectators. NO Lungeing. Horses/ponies must not be tied to trailers or lorries & left unattended.

WARM UP CLASSES:

A SJ warm-up class (class 14: Unaff 70cm) will run on Friday 22nd August - Single phase - Open to anyone who has qualifed for either Championships.

We also have two Dressage classes on Friday which are also open to Regional Competitors: Classes 16 & 17. All other Mini Champ classes are not open to Regional Competitors.

Payment Details & Event Fees

All Classes across all 5 days are strictly Pre-entry only.

Entries close: Wednesday 13th August @ 10:00

Unaffiliated / Non Championship classes will close before this date if full.

Stabling Information: Yes

Stabling is available to book when you enter or you can now go back in & book stabling only. 

To avoid confusion stabling is availablle in 23 hour slots only. or exampe Friday night will be from 16:00 on Friday until 15:00 on Saturday.

All stables must be left completely empty, any stables not fully emptied will incur a £20 fine.

Bedding will be available to purchase on arrival only (no pre-orders) or you are welcome to BYO

  • Podium Prize Givings: more information will be announced during the show, please note ONLY Mini Championship & Regional Championship Classes will have Podium Prize Givings, all unaffiliated SJ & Dressage classes will be awarded rosettes, these will be available to collect from the secretary at the end of each class.

Wyvern Equestrian will be providing the Prizes for both the Mini & Regional Championships.

 All winners in the Mini & Regional Championship Classes will recieve a 'Winners' plaque kindly supported by Equi-Plaque

Withdrawals/Refunds

REFUND / ABANDONMENT

  • Any withdrawals on or before Wednesday 13th August @ 10:00 will receive a full refund minus a £10 admin fee.
  • Any withdrawals made after 10:01 on Wednesday 13th August will not receive any sort of refund.
  • In the event of a competition being abandoned, for whatever reason, a refund of 50% of the entry fee will be given. In such an instance the refund process will be communicated and must be followed.

RULES & IMPORTANT INFORMATION

·        Pony Club and Bicton take Horse welfare seriously;

A pony may be ridden in a maximum of 3 classes per day & a maximum of 2 Show Jumping Rounds. For example: 2 show jumping classes and 1 dressage class or 1 show jumping class and 2 dressage classes on any particular day.

·        MINI CHAMPIONSHIPS:

SJ Classes 1,2,3,7,12 are classes for those who have qualified at Branch run events during the year.

(The Mini Championships is aimed at under 14’s & is a fun learning championship.)

ü  Class 13 is a 70cm stand-alone Area 15 class.

ü  Class 16 & 17 are open to Regional Competitors. Regional Competitors are not allowed to compete in any other Dressage classes during the Mini Champs.

ü  Unaff 50cm & 60cm SJ (Classes 4 & 8) are open to Mini Champs Competitors only. NO Regional Competitors!

ü  Unaff 70cm (Class 14) is open to all including Regional Competitors

·        REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS:

Classes 17-24 are for those who have qualified at Area Competitions.

ü  Competitors are not allowed to compete in any classes at the Mini Championships except: Classes 14 – Unaff 70cm, 16 & 17 (The unaffiliated PC70 & PC80 Dressage)

ü  Dressage is exempt, competitors who are competing in the Regional Dressage only (classes 18 or 19) CAN compete in any ‘no assistance’ Show Jumping classes at the Mini Champs, as well as the two dressage classes on Friday (16 / 17)

·        The competition will be run in accordance with the relevant PC Sport Rules 2025. 

·        Please ensure you know exactly which class you need to enter before doing so, all PC Rule Books can be found here. If you are still in any doubt please email Deborah Custance-Baker before you enter – area15@pcuk.org

·        Please ensure all riders comply with hat rules, body protector, Stirrup rules, & medical armband rules.
