The course will be built in two phases ,first section of show jumps followed by simulated cross country fences obstacles and may include ditches, coffins, angled rails, corners, bullfinches, water and bounces. This also offers Working Hunters and Working Hunter Ponies a perfect practice opportunity.

First Aid £5 per rider

Prize Money: 1st £100.00, 2nd £75.00, 3rd £50.00, 4th £25.00 etc at the ratio of one prize per five starters. Top 10 unmounted prize giving in the arena. All competitors must have qualified for the class.

SEEL Arena Eventing Championship final 2023

This year’s SEEL Championship final will take place at Golden Cross on Saturday 25 February.

This final is open to all qualified combinations from October 22 through to the finals, who qualified being placed in the top ten at qualifying competitions at Golden Cross, Pyecombe and Coombelands.

Excellent prize money, sashes on offer for this prestigious final, with the winners invited to collect their trophies at The SEEL Ball in November 23.

The top ten in each championship class will be asked to attend a dismounted prize giving in the arena at the completion of each final.

We will try and take all entries but please remember we are limited for daylight hours and will close entries when full.

If you haven’t qualified as yet, there are still opportunities before the final at Pyecombe and Golden Cross.

WITHDRAWAL POLICY – SHOWS
Withdrawals for online bookings for shows will only be made if made by email to admin@goldencrossec.com up until 7 days before the booked date. These will then be refunded as a credit on the account and will not include the booking fee which is paid to our online entry agents. Credits on the account can be used at future events at Golden Cross run by the team, please contact us when you would like to use it. Withdrawals made after the 7 days before the booked date will not be credited unless the withdrawal is made before times/ draws are published and a vet or hospital certificate is provided.

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE MADE ONLINE 2 DAYS BEFORE THE DAY TO ENABLE US TO ISSUE DRAWN ORDER ! classes will close earlier if we reach our capacity.

ADDITIONAL RULES AND CONDITIONS
1 The competition will be judged as a Single Phase Show Jumping competition, ie the competitor will jump a course of SJ fences and , will continue immediately to a course of XC fences. THE WINNER SHALL BE THE COMBINATION COMPLETING COURSE NEAREST OPTIMUM TIME WITH LEAST PENALTIES.
2 Penalties will be awarded as follows: Each fence knocked down in first section 5 penalties First run out or refusal in first section 5 penalties Second, run out or refusal in first section 10 penalties Third, run out or refusal in either section Elimination Each fence knocked down in the XC section 5 penalties Each refusal in the XC section 10 penalties Fall of horse and or rider Elimination.
