The class will have jumps approx heights 0.40-0.90cm. Set time (tbc) to jump your own course. Each fence will be scored according to height and technicality. Each fence can be jumped multiple times . Not all fences have to be jumped. No penalties for knockdowns or refusals with the exception of the joker fence when any faults will lead to the score for that fence being deducted from the overall score. POLNOON CASTLE RIDERS ASSOCIATION

RULES - PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING NOTES CAREFULLY

1) The show is run under current BRC rules, except where stated otherwise, and it is the responsibility of the competitor to be aware of these rules. The BRC Code of Conduct (BRC Handbook Section 1)  must be adhered to. BRC rules can be found at https://www.bhs.org.uk.brc-handbook  

 

2) All riders when mounted, whether competing or not, must wear a hard hat complying with one of the following specifications and with the strap properly adjusted and fastened.

I) PAS015 (2011 ) + BSI KITE MARK OR INSPEC IC MARK

II) VG1 01.040 (2014-12) + BSI KITE MARK OR INSPEC 1C MARK

III) ASTM F1163 (2004a OR 04a ONWARDS) + OFFICIAL SEI MARK

IV) AS/NZS 3838 (2006 ONWARDS) + OFFICIAL SAI GLOBAL MARK

It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure they are wearing hats to the correct standard. Any rider found to be using a hat to a lower specification will be disqualified.

 

3) Neither the organisers, West Kype Farm, nor anyone acting on their behalf accept any responsibility for loss, damage or injury to any persons, animals or property whatsoever.

BRC affiliated Riding club members are covered for Third Party liability under the BRC insurance policy – non members must have their own third party liability cover.

This should be available for inspection if/when requested by the secretary.

 

4) There will be first aiders present at the show . A vet can be called if required. No farrier will be present.

 Any incidents or accidents must be reported to the secretary for recording in the accident book. 

 

5) All ridden horses/ponies must be at least 4 years of age.

 

6) Horses/ponies must only be ridden at walk except in designated warm-up areas.

7) No horses/ponies to be left unattended whilst titied outside trailers/ lorries in the car park 

8) Dogs must remain in vehicles AT ALL TIMES on West Kype property

9) Complaints must be put in writing and given to the show secretary, accompanied by a £20 deposit, within 15 mins of the incident complained of. The deposit will be returned if the complaint is upheld by the organising committee.

10) Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Juniors are aged up to and including 16 years and seniors are 17 years and over on the day of the show.

11) The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry without having to state a reason and to combine, split or cancel classes if they consider it necessary.

12)  Competitors are required to take home any rubbish as a matter of courtesy. Please pick up any droppings  from the vicinity of your box/trailer and do not muck out onto the car park.

 

13)   Official photographs may be taken on the day may be used and published for publicity and/or information purposes by or on behalf of Polnoon Castle and/or BRC.  Results showing competitors and horses names may be published by Polnoon Castle Riders Association and passed to relevant organisers. Anyone not in agreement with this should advise the organiser when making their entry.

Acceptance of the foregoing provisions is a condition of entry.
