Show Information

Rules:

1. This competition is run under British Riding Clubs 2026 Handbook rules unless superseded by the rules below. The current BRC Handbook and Rule Amendments document can be found in the handbook at: https://www.bhs.org.uk/british-riding-clubs/brc-handbook/

2. The decisions of the judges and/or organisers are final.

3. Any objection must be made to the show secretary in writing within 30 minutes of closing ofthe class, accompanied by a deposit of £10 which may be refunded.

Showground rules:

1. Please ensure the area around your horsebox / trailer is clean and tidy. Droppings collected and not swept onto or left on BFEC. Please take litter home or use the bins provided.

2. Children must be supervised at all times.

3. Whilst outside arenas, horses and ponies should be moved at a walk only.

4. No dogs allowed, other than in Lorry Park only and MUST be on a lead at all times.

Entries:

1. Riders are required to have a valid competition pass with the name of the horse they are competing listed on the pass.

2. It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria, the eligibility table can be found below

3. Horses may compete in more than 1 team per class, as long as they compete in different tests (ie Team A Intro 1 & Team B Intro 2 etc)

·        All riding hats must have a visible current BRC/BE/PC pink hat tag

·        A body protector is not mandatory for this competition.

·        Riders wearing Exo-Body cages, in which the BETA Level 3 2009 Purple Label, must inform the official steward/organiser before the event.

·        Please ensure that you are willing and able to compete at the Championships prior to entering.

  • All competitors should enter with the expectation they will cover their own championships fees. KRC's reimbursement of these fees will be at the discretion of the committee standing at the time of the Championship.
  • All horses must have valid and up to date flu vacs in accordance of rule G7 of the BRC rulebook; (no boosters within 6 days of competition). If you are unsure, please contact krctamsyn@gmail.com
  • With immediate effect bib numbers will be permitted in all BRC competitions. This will allow competitors to print their own numbers if they do not have bridle numbers for dressage and SJ competitions to save organisers having to provide them.
  • Microchips are compulsory by law from 1 October 2020 in England. You will be required to have your horse microchipped as per the England legislation.
  • It is advised that hair should be neatly secured and should not hang lower than the shoulder line when standing normally. Any item of jewellery or alternative medical treatment wrist bands should be covered up by clothing or gloves, if they cannot be removed and are worn at the riders' own risk.

Not to be a BHS Stage 4 Coach or above.  Riders not to have competed under FEI rules in the relevant discipline in the last 5 calendar years.  Not to have competed at Novice BD/BRC or BE 100 in the current or previous year.  Not to have competed Elementary BD/BRC or BE Novice or above in the last 3 calendar years. 

Horse and Rider combinations may not have gained 70% or higher in their arena at a BRC/ BD Championship at Intro level or above. Not to have competed at Novice BD/BRC or BE 100 or above in the current or previous year. Not to have competed Elementary BD/BRC or BE Novice or above in the last 3 calendar years.

BRC Prelim A (2025) and BRC Prelim B (2025)

Up to 35 BD points at Prelim.  0 BD points at Novice or above.

Riders not to have competed under FEI rules in the relevant discipline in the last 5 calendar years.  Not to be a BHS Stage 4 Coach or above. Not to have competed at Elementary BD/BRC or BE Novice or above in the current or previous year.

Intro Pairs

Unlimited Prelim Points. 0 points at Novice or above.

 

Riders not to have competed under FEI rules in the relevant discipline in the last 5 calendar years.  BHS Stage 4 Coach or above.  Rider not to have competed at Novice (including pairs) BD/BRC or BE100 or above in the current or previous calendar year. Winning pair from previous year may not take part.

Horses not to have competed at Novice BD/BRC or BE Novice or above in the current or previous calendar year. Winning pair from previous year may not take part.
