Show Information
Train Beyond Technique
Your technique matters. Your partnership matters. Your mindset matters. Great performance comes from bringing them all together.
We spend hours improving our horses’ way of going, refining our riding and developing our technical skills…
But how often do we train the mind that brings it all together?
Many riders have the ability to perform well, yet find themselves riding differently when the pressure is on.
You might recognise this:
Riding brilliantly at home but struggling to reproduce it at competitions.
Overthinking lines, distances or decisions.
Feeling confident one day and questioning yourself the next.
Wondering why your performance doesn’t always reflect your ability.

These aren’t simply “confidence issues”they’re normal psychological responses to pressure and challenge.

This day camp brings together practical Arena Eventing coaching with evidence-based sport psychology to help you better understand your performance and develop skills that transfer directly into training and competition.

Hosted by Amelia Collins

Workshop Focus: Performance Under Pressure
Pressure is part of sport, but understanding how it affects us gives us the opportunity to perform more consistently.
This interactive workshop explores what really happens when pressure appears in training and competition, including:
Why pressure affects performance
What confidence actually is from a sport psychology perspective
Why confidence naturally fluctuates
Challenge vs threat responses
How pressure influences attention, decision-making and performance
How to build more reliable performance, not simply try to “feel more confident”
