Show Information

For all rules regarding the Sunshine Tour Championship and a review of the full rules, please visit the Qualification 2026 Rules section.

The top 3 in each class will qualify for the sunshine tour at Hickstead.

All competitors will be required to wear their allocated numbers , Riders numbers can be worn on the rider, saddle cloth or bridle and must be supplied by the competitor.

 

Entries close 48 hours before the show date, Late entries will be charged  with a late payment fee of £4.00 if 48 hours or less.before show date.

In the event of cancellation riders will be offered to transfer to a future event or have their entry fee on hold for future use. Any refund issued will be done so minus the booking fee.

Withdrawals can be transferred to another event if arrange before the closing date

No refund or transfer if cancelled 48 hrs or later before the event. There will be a £5.00 admin charge for any refunds.

No refunds or transfers after the closing date will be given without the production of a Vet or GP letter.

Special Classes

This show is a qualifier for the Sunshine Tour Qualifiers Championships held at The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead from 17th-20th September 2026

The Championships are for unaffiliated and amateur competitors in Dressage from Intro to Elementary, Show Jumping from Lead Rein to 1.0m; Showing for lead rein, in-hand, ridden, working hunter, veterans and many more. 

Qualification: Dressage & Show Jumping 1st - 3rd, Showing 1st - 4th Qualification does not pass down the line.

Registration must be completed within 1 month of qualification. Restrictions apply to horse and competitor's previous winnings and amateur status, please check our website.

Terms & Conditions

ALL RIDERS PLEASE NOTE:

All riders wishing to compete must wear hats complying with the new British Standard. Hats to current standards must be worn and fastened at all times when mounted.

Reservation of right: - The organiser has the right to

a) Cancel any class or event 
b) Divide any class Senior & Junior (must have 3 of each for a split of the class) 
c) Alter any advertised times 
d) Refuse any entry

e) BS Table A4 - 1 timed round against the clock

f) lead reins and assisted allowed in 40cms

g) No assistance or lead rein from class 2 (50cms) – class 7 (100cms) if assistance is given you will automatically become a HC round and will not eligible for the prize giving.

h) BS legal batons to be used only in all class.  Details found on BS whip rule website.

 
The organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, please take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring. The organisers ask you to obey the following points: 
a) Watch out for horses 
b) Please do not drop litter or cigarette ends. 
c) Please do not leave children or horses unattended 
d) Dogs must be kept on leads at all times 
e) Please Park tidily 
f) Please clean up your horse’s droppings/mess before you leave. 
g) NO LUNGEING 
h) No smoking in the yard area 
i) No horses under the age of 4 
j) No Stallions 
k) Practice jumps must not exceed the height of the running class. 

Please note that BS rules will apply to classes with regards to tack fitting - with a modification to the dress code. Please note the required hat ruling above, and if you do not own a correct riding jacket a smart jumper or sweat-shirt may be worn over a shirt and tie/stock. Correct footwear must be worn. Horses do not need to be plaited, but must be well turned out. 

LIABILITY Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organiser or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of the event to which these rules apply, nor the BS nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accepts any liability for accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, riders, spectators, land or any other persons or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.
