Show Information

Entries close midnight 28th September. If space permits late entries will be accepted until midnight 30th September,  late entry fee applies.

A fun event to get an opportunity to ride a very well constructed course without any pressure, not a competition. Rosettes for all completed rounds.

Classes for individuals, pairs and teams of three, at 50cm, 75cm and 90cm.

Payment Details & Event Fees

Payment is secure and it goes directly to Southdown Supporters Club.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.

£20 per horse per round, £2 per rider first aid. Late entries £25 plus first aid. Subject to space on the day £30 cash plus first aid.

This is a fun day, offering the opportunity to get a bit of practice in before the season in a relaxed atmosphere over a super course with great facilities

Withdrawals/Refunds

Refunds of 75% of the entry fee will be provided for withdrawals made by midday on Friday.

If extremely bad weather demands cancellation of the event 90% of the entry fee will be refunded.

Terms & Conditions
  •  Contacting the secretary- please email before the day (nb. You may not get a reply immediately but you will get one) and use the phone number only on the day.
  • In making your entry you agree that you fully understand these terms and conditions, and completely and unconditionally release the organisers from all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
  • Cross country riding is a risky activity and horses are unpredictable, riders do so at their own risk and do not hold the organisers responsible for any accident, injury or loss. The organisers recommend that horses and ponies are insured for accident and injury, and riders for personal accident.
  • The organiser's and safety marshal's instructions must be followed at all times and their decisions will be final.
  • Health & Safety- The organisers have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For those measures to be effective everyone must also take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents and must obey the instructions of the organisers.
  • All riders must wear a non-fixed peak riding hat and body protector conforming to the current British Eventing standard at all times when mounted. Suitable footwear must also be worn when mounted.
  • All riders under 18yrs old must be accompanied by a responsible adult. It is recommended that all riders are also accompanied by another adult.
  • Riders must not jump any unflagged jump. A practice fence will be available, then the numbered flagged course must be followed. Fences are to be jumped with the red flag on the right. 
  • All horses and ponies must have completed a full and current flu vaccination course.
  • No horse or pony may be entered in more than two classes.
  • No horse or pony should be tied to the outside of a lorry or trailer and left unattended.
  • All droppings must be cleared up and taken home.
  • All dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are the responsibility of their owner/handler.
  • A qualified first aider will be in attendance.
  • In the event of extremely bad weather the event will have to be cancelled.
