In Hand Show Class training group - Open to handlers any age, horses/ponies any age, height, type. Max 4 entries. These classes are open to anyone looking to gain show ring experience with useful help and advice
for correct show ring practices and show ring etiquette as well as useful tips and guidance of what
the judge is and isn’t looking for.
Each class will be run as a 45min training session, with the class running in the same format as a real
showing class yet with instruction/guidance from our qualifed coach/experienced panel judge every
step of the way, ensuring that you are ready to enter the real thing with ease and confdence.
Every entry in the training classes receives a rosette.

This show is organised by volunteers who have given their time so that you can enjoy yours. PLEASE show your respect and appreciation at all times. Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept under control and remain on a short lead. All dog poo MUST be bagged up and disposed of in the rubbish bins provided. We politely ask for you to take home all rubbish with you and to not skip out in the lorry park, please pick up all droppings from your parking area and take home with you as livestock regularly graze the land. 1. The organisers have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and stewards. 2. The judge’s decision is fnal. Any objections must be made in writing to the Show Secretary within 30minutes of the cause and be accompanied by a £20.00 deposit refundable only if the objection is upheld. 3. The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry or amend the schedule. The organisers will not tolerate disruptive behaviour from horses or riders. 4. Suffolk Riding Club shall not be liable for any claim in respect of damage, loss, injury or accident to any person, horse or property howsoever caused in connection with or arising out of this show. It shall be deemed a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify the Suffolk Riding Club or any person acting on their behalf against any legal action arising from such an incident. 5. HEADWEAR Properly secured protective headwear must be worn when mounted. Hats must be to one of the following standards: PAS015:2011, VG 01.040: 2014-12 and must bear the BSI Kitemark, ASTM F1163:2004a or 04a onwards provided they SEI marked; SNELL E2016; AS/NZS 3838: 2006 Provided they are SAI Global marked. 6. We recommend the use of Back Protectors. 7. Children aged 16 years and under must wear protective headgear to standard for all in-hand and ridden classes. 8. SRC recommends all competitors wear protective headgear to standard for in hand classes. 9. No visible jewellery allowed. 10.All horses & ponies must be 4 years old or over to compete in ridden classes. 11.No person shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible for as an owner, leasee, authorised agent or rider to compete or be prepared to compete, in any competitions without taking adequate precautions to ensure that other members of the public are not put at risk of injury. 12.Stallions & Colts over 1yr MUST be bitted and must NOT be ridden or handled by children under the age of 16yrs. 13.Stallions & Colts to wear a Stallion/Colt bridle disk. 14.We politely ask for ANY horse or pony that may have a tendency to buck or kick out to wear a red ribbon in the tail to warn others of the potential risk. 15.Mountain and Moorland ponies entering other classes will be accepted unplaited. 16.No trotting or cantering in public areas - only in “working in” arenas. Tethering is not allowed. 17.Do not obstruct the access - emergency services must have access to all parts of the event at all times. 18.Bicycles, Scooters, Ball Games etc. are not allowed on this show ground.
