This will run as an Eventers Challenge.

XC colours to be worn all day, there will be no time to change tack or clothes between phases. 

This is a competition, if you have three refusals you will be eliminated and asked to leave the course after 5 refusals

If you fall off anywhere on the showground under British Riding Club rules you are forbidden to remount and/or continue

XC jumps are fixed and solid

There will be an optimum time

Toilets will be provided

Bookings and payment in advance only. You can book using our Secure Online Entry System.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Vectis Equestrian Club.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.

 Rosettes to 4th place

 Classes will be split senior/junior IF entries warrent.

PAIRS CLASS, theremight be allocated jumps which must be jumped side by side for additional points

Pairs can be mixed senior/junior 

Number bibs MUST be worn and can be downloaded from MRL

 There will be a burger van available all day

 No refunds or hold overs once initial entries have closed and/or times posted

Classes

·       Classes will be run in schedule order. They may be split or amalgamated depending on entries.

·       Times will be given, and we ask that you do your best to adhere to them. 

On the day

We aim to run friendly, enjoyable events!

You will find below the “rules” to help the day run smoothly.  Please read!

·        All parking in the field as you drive in. Please park sensibly and/or as directed

·        Warm up as directed

·        Please do not muck out horseboxes onto the parking area.  Place all droppings in the area provided or take them home.  Please clear any hay and debris left around your lorry/trailer.

·        No hay nets or horses are to be tied to the outside of vehicles.

·        NO dogs at this event.

British Riding Clubs (BRC)

·        This competition will be run under BRC Rules (www.britishridingclubs.org.uk)

·        Protective headgear, skull caps and body protectors (approved to current BRC regulations) must be worn by anyone riding at a BRC event. Harness must be correctly adjusted & fastened. Failure to do so will incur elimination.  No head cams allowed.

Entries

·        Priority will be given to Vectis Equestrian Club Members & entries will be limited.

·        Times will be posted on myridinglife and Vectis Facebook page.

·        Changes before the closing date can be made online by logging into your MRL account.

·        If you need to cancel or change a class before closing date, please email vec.entries@outlook.com

·        All entries are subject to a non-refundable booking fee and first aid fee as stated online.

·        Strictly no refunds once entries have been closed and/or times are posted.

Vectis Equestrian Clubs Points

·        Points will be awarded to all paid up Members in all Sections from January 2026 to December 2026.  

Horse Welfare

·          Vectis Equestrian Club takes the health & welfare of horses and ponies extremely seriously. We focus on the highest standards of equine welfare and veterinary care. The Show will be strictly enforcing that all riders should be of an appropriate size and weight for the horse/pony being ridden anywhere on the showground, including the Horsebox Park. Riders deemed oversized for their mount will be asked to dismount by a Show Official or Steward; and may be ineligible to compete as a combination.

·        Please do not leave horses/ponies tied to the outside of lorries/trailers unsupervised; if horses/ponies are known to get distressed when left on lorries/trailers, ensure that there is always someone with them.

Health & Safety

·       The Organisers and Landowners have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present.  For these measures to be effective everyone onsite must obey the instructions of the organisers, officials, and stewards.

·       You must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring.

·        Neither the Organisers or any persons acting on their behalf accept any liability for loss, damage, accident or illness to ponies/horses, riders, spectators or any other persons or property.

·        The Committee reserve the right to ask anybody to leave the show ground.

·        Horses can easily be frightened and can be dangerous. Members of the public are requested to keep clear from horse areas/lanes and to avoid behaviour which might alarm horses.

·        No Dogs.

Insurance

·        All Riding Club Members are covered by third party insurance.

·        Anyone attending the Event who is NOT a riding club member should ensure they have adequate/appropriate insurance for themselves, horses, property and third party.
