Riders will be issued with numbers on the Friday before the event and these should be worn at all times either as bridle numbers/saddle pad numbers (on both sides) or as a number bib. For Showing entries made on the day, paper numbers will be available.
SJ - WE WILL RUN A CLEAR ROUND AT EACH HEIGHT FOR 15 MINUTES BEFORE EACH CLASS STARTS
£5 A ROUND OR 3 ROUNDS FOR £10.
**These classes are qualifiers for the BRC Club Show Jumping Series (applies to both the open and assisted sections but NOT lead rein)
The aim of this series is to create an accessible and inclusive SJ series for BRC riders who may be nervous about competing, have disabilities which prevents them from jumping higher or those who are new to BRC and maybe have never jumped before or for those working towards competing at BRC Championships at 60cm or above.
This series is open to non-members to take part in the club shows but to compete at the Final must have a valid club membership.
Qualification period 1 December 2025 – 30 September 2026
Finals - 10 October 2026 held and run by Bury Farm Equestrian, LU7 9BT.
Eligibility
40 and 50cm
Combinations must not have completed a jumping phase at a BRC Championship (to include HT, AE, CC, CT and SJ) in the previous three calendar years.
60cm
Combinations must not have completed a jumping phase at a BRC Championship at 70cm or above (to include HT, AE, CC, CT and SJ) in the previous three calendar years. Combinations may not have been placed 1st – 10th individually in a BRC Championship at 60cm in the previous two calendar years.
Onus is on the rider to ensure compliance with the eligibility criteria to maintain the spirit of the competition.
At finals combinations may only compete at two consecutive heights. Should a rider qualify for both the 40cm and 60cm in the same season they will not be permitted to compete in the 40cm.
Assisted
One assistant per rider is permitted. Where an assistant enters the arena to help a competitor, they may move around the ring and be alongside the horse but must not jump the fences. Coaching & encouragement around the course is permitted. No lead rein allowed.
Dress and Tack
Hats to current BRC standard – please see the handbook.
Correct riding clothes must be worn when mounted but competition dress is not required.
Spurs are not permitted, and whips must be padded if carried.

RING 1 CHAMPIONSHIP
Competitors placed first & second from classes 1-5 and 9-11 will be considered for the ring Championship. (PLEASE NOTE classes 6, 7 & 8 are fun classes and do not qualify for ring championship. Please present yourselves to the championship at the end of the ring.
RING 2 CHAMPIONSHIP
Competitors placed first & second from classes 12-23 will be considered for the ring Championship. Please present yourselves to the championship at the end of the ring.
SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP (August Show ONLY)
Competitors placed champion and reserve from Rings 1 and 2 eligible for the supreme championship. Competitors should bring themselves at Ring 2 at the end of the showing day.
SUNSHINE TOUR QUALIFIERS—JUNE & JULY ONLY
This show is a qualifier for The Sunshine Tour Championship held at The All-England Showground, Hickstead from Thursday 17th – Sunday 20th September 2026 (look out for the Sunshine next to applicable classes). The Championships are for unaffiliated and amateur competitors in Dressage from Intro to Elementary, Show Jumping from Lead Rein to 1.05m; Showing for lead rein, in-hand, ridden, working hunter, veterans, plus many more, Eventer’s Challenge from 50cm through to 90cm.
Qualification: 1st – 4th place for showing and 1st – 3rd place for dressage and show jumping. Qualification does not pass down the line.

ENTRIES
*Entries are taken on the day for showing. Entries for each class will close 5 minutes prior to the class starting. As entries are taken on the day, we are unable to give times for each class and suggest you arrive with plenty of time so as not to miss your class.
*Entries for Dressage and Show Jumping are online ONLY via www.myridinglife.com only. Entries close at midnight on the Thursday before the Event
*For any ridden class the horse must be 4 years or over (or turning 4 in the year commencing 1st January
2026)
*Clear round will be available at each height for 15 minutes before the class starts – enter on the day by cash or card
*Entry Prices include first aid
DRESSAGE SECTIONS
Lead Rein - pony must be on the lead rein and led by handler
Assisted - pony should not be on a lead rein, but the handler may be at the head of the pony. If the rider requires assistance with a rein being held or grabbed, then penalty marks will be awarded at 1 mark per instance.
Restricted -
SJ SECTIONS For horse and rider combinations who do not regularly compete at that level and have not won three 1st at that level.
Horse and rider combinations who are also competing at the level above will be in the open section for the below level, e.g.
Any combination competing at Prelim will be open for the Intro.
Any combination competing at Novice will be open for the Prelim Any combination competing at Novice cannot compete at Intro
Lead Rein - pony must be on the lead rein and led by handler
Assisted - pony should not be on a lead rein, but the handler may be at the head of the pony.
Open - no outside assistance allowed
*We reserve the right to move the combination to another section despite entry made
*Rosettes will be awarded to 1st to 6th in each section
*Highest placed junior will be awarded to the junior with the highest score.
*Show jumping classes may be split into horses and ponies if enough entries
*A combination of horse and rider may only enter a class once in one section. Any other entries for the same combination in the same class will be HC. The first test/round will count as your scored round.
*All hats and body protectors must be up to current standards as per the BRC handbook
*All whips must be up to current BRC standards. Any excessive or unnecessary use of the whip will result in disqualification, and you may be asked to leave the show ground.
*Show jumping entries are limited to 3 classes per horse/pony, however, you should be aware of your horse/pony’s level of fitness
DRESSAGE AND SHOW JUMPING
*Times will be available after 4pm on the Friday before the event via www.myridinglife.com
*Rider numbers will be allocated with competitor times and must be worn for Dressage ON BOTH SIDES at all times.
*ARC will not supply rider numbers so competitors will need to supply these themselves by way of either bridle numbers or saddle pad numbers which are visible on both sides, or number bibs can be worn but the number must be visible on both front and back
*ARC is unable to guarantee availability of a caller, and you are responsible for ensuring you have your own caller available if required
*Dressage sheets and rosettes will be available to collect on the day
*Sheets and rosettes can be posted at competitor’s cost. A stamped address envelope must be left with the office on the day. This must be no smaller than A5 with at least a large letter stamp.
*Results will also be available online via www.myridinglife.com

*Refunds will be given if request is received prior to entries closing, after closing, refunds will only be given on production of a valid vet or doctors certificate
SHOW GROUND AND COLLECTING RING
*Dressage warms up and tests will be in the outdoor arena
*SJ will be in the indoor arena
*SJ warm up will be in the small indoor arena
*Showing will be on grass
*Please adhere to collecting ring rules including passing left to left and wearing coloured ribbons where appropriate. Riders ride in the collecting ring at their own risk.
*The small indoor collecting ring will be limited to four riders at any one time. Priority in this ring will be given to those due to go into the arena for their SJ round.
*Other collecting rings may have restrictions on numbers depending on the size of the collecting ring. The steward will confirm any limits on the day, and priority will be given to those about to go into their class. The steward’s decision is final.
*Please respect Graceland’s rules
*No hay nets to be tied outside lorries/trailers
*No horses to be left unattended tied to the lorry/trailer
*Please clear up your rubbish and put this in the bin or take it home with you
*Please clear up after your horses using the wheelbarrow and tools provided
SUNSHINE TOUR
*Placings 1-3rd in dressage and show jumping and 1-4 tie in showing qualify. Qualification does not pass down the line.

*7 for 1st, 6 for 2nd, 5 for 3rd, 4 for 4th, 3 for 5th, 2 for 6th and 1 point for competing but unplaced
*You must be a member by 21st June 2026 to be eligible
*You must have competed in at least 2 shows to be eligible for points
PHOTOGRAPHY
*Event photographer will be in attendance at our competitions
*It is taken that authorisation is given by attendees and/or parents/guardians for such photographs to be taken and that such photographs can be used by ARC for publicity unless you specifically inform one of the committees there on the show day
DISCLAIMERS
*Hats must be worn at all times whilst mounted. All hats and body protectors MUST be up to current standards. ARC do not take any responsibility to ensure your hats and body protectors are up to standard and it is the competitor’s responsibility to make sure they are. ARC is entitled to carry out random spot checks and if your hat or body protector is not up to the current standards, you will not be permitted to ride and may be asked to leave the show ground.
*If you are carrying a whip, this must meet the current requirements in length for both show jumping and showing/dressage
*Everyone attending the show does so at their own risk, whether as a horse, rider, handler, spectator or other and ARC does not accept any responsibility or liability for any injury, accident, damage or illness to any person, property, vehicle or animal whatsoever, or for any loss whatsoever arising out of, or occurring at any event hosted by ARC, whether training, competition, camps or other and every person attending any of our events should have their own public liability insurance
