Special Classes

This show is a qualifier for The Sunshine Tour Championships held at The All England Jumping Course, Hickstead from 17th-20th September 2026

The Championships are for unaffiliated and amateur competitors in Dressage from Intro to Elementary, Show Jumping from Lead Rein to 1.0m; Showing for lead rein, in-hand, ridden, working hunter, veterans and many more. 

Qualification: Dressage & Show Jumping 1st - 3rd, Showing 1st - 4th Qualification does not pass down the line.

Registration must be completed within 1 month of qualification. Restrictions apply to horse and competitor's previous winnings and amateur status, please check our website. 

Withdrawals/Refunds

The organisers reserve the right to reject or cancel any entry or entries and to cancel any class or classes (refunding any fees paid). Under normal circumstances, fees will not be refunded unless a vet’s or doctor’s certificate is produced. An administrative cost of £2 per class will be retained by the organiser

Terms & Conditions

1. No claim will be entertained for anything that may happen to competitors, spectators, their property, servants, horses or ponies in connection with or arising from this competition. Admission is granted and entries accepted only upon this condition. It shall be considered a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify the organisers against any legal action arising there from.

2. The organisers reserve the right to reject or cancel any entry or entries and to cancel any class or classes (refunding any fees paid). Under normal circumstances, fees will not be refunded unless a vet’s or doctor’s certificate is produced. An administrative cost of £2 per class will be retained by the organiser.

3. The decision of the judges and show officials is, in every case, to be accepted as final

4. All riders to be correctly dressed and hard hats (PAS015 or BSEN1384) to be worn when mounted with chin straps fastened.

5. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times

6. Horses when not competing must be kept strictly to the horse lines, collecting enclosures and exercising paddocks - animals must not be tied to any of the fences. Competitors are asked to co-operate for the safety of all concerned. Please take your litter home.

7. Should the event be cancelled £2.00 per horse entered will be retained for administration costs

8. No ridden horses under 4 years.

9. Riding Club Dressage Rules will apply.

10. Health and Safety. The organiser of this event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all the officials and stewards

11. The event photographer will be easily identifiable.

12. Your horse’s passports may be required to be seen by the secretary, so please bring it with you. It is also an offence to travel your horse without one.

13. Any complaints are to be submitted to the organiser in writing with a deposit of £20.

14. Spaces will be limited and will be allocated on date of receipt of entry and payment

15. The organiser has the right to refuse entry if any horse welfare is compromised

16. Stallions - Riders of small breed (Shetland, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Welsh A&B) must be 12 years old or over.  Riders of large breeds (highland, fell, Dales, Connemara, New forest, Welsh C & D) must be 14 years old or over.  Handlers of stallions or colts must be 14 years old or over.  Children under 14 years old may not show colts or entire males in in-hand classes.  Stallions must display a stallion bridle badge.
