Class 1 Ridden Cob Amateur of the Year – (TSR QUALIFIER)
Open Ridden Cob, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. Exceeding 148cms. To be shown hogged and trimmed. Riders must have attained their 15th birthday by the date of the show. Spurs may be worn by adult riders.
Class 2 Ridden Veteran Amateur of the Year – (TSR QUALIFIER)
Open to horses and ponies of any breed, type and height, 15 years and over. Riders of any age, suitably mounted – animals will not be . Spurs not to be worn. Blemishes are not taken into consideration.
Class 3 Ridden Hunter Amateur of the Year – (TSR QUALIFIER)
Open Ridden Hunter, mare or gelding. 4 years old and over. Exceeding 148cms. Rider must have attained their 15th birthday by the day of the show. Spurs may be worn by adult riders.
Class 4 Coloured Horse/Pony Ridden Amateur of the Year – (TSR QUALIFIER)
Ponies: Open Ridden Piebald/Skewbald, stallions, mare or gelding 4 years and over. Riders any age except for those on stallions who must have attained their 14th birthday by 1st January of the current year. Spurs must NOT be worn. Ponies under 153cm.
Horses: Open Ridden Piebald/Skewbald, stallion, mare or gelding 4 years and over. Riders any age except for those on stallions who must have attained their 14th birthday by 1st January of the current year. Spurs may be worn by adult riders. Animals 153cms and over.
Class 5 Mountain and Moorland Small Breeds Ridden Amateur of the Year – (TSR QUALIFIER)
Open to Mountain and Moorland ponies registered with their respective Pure-Bred Societies of Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh A and Welsh B. Stallion, mare or gelding 4 years and over. Riders any age except for those on stallions who must have attained their 14th birthday by 1st January of the current year and suitably mounted. Spurs must not be worn.
Class 6 Mountain and Moorland Large Breeds Ridden Amateur of the Year – (TSR QUALIFER)
Open to Mountain and Moorland ponies registered with the respective Pure-Bred Societies of Fells, Dales, Highlands, New Forests, Connemara, Welsh C and Welsh D. Stallion, mare or gelding 4 years and over. Riders any age except for those on stallions who must have attained their 14th birthday by 1st January of the current year. Spurs must not be worn.
Ring 2 - Ridden
All classes may be split if entries warrant
Start 8:30 am – Judge Mr M Maidment (classes 7 -14) Mrs P Clarke (class 13)
Class 7 Open Ridden Veteran –
Any height or breed. Horse or pony to be 15 years old and over. Age to be displayed on the bridle.
Class 8 Open Novice Junior and Senior –
Open to horses or ponies who are just starting out in their showing career or with limited experience under saddle. Horse or pony must not have placed 1st place in a similar class before January 1st of current year. Open to stallions, geldings or mares. Any breed or height. Lead rein permitted. Class may be split juniors and seniors.
Class 9 Open Ridden Hunter or Hunting Type –
Open to light weight, medium weight and heavy weight hunters. Judged on suitability of the discipline. Stallion, mare or gelding.
Class 10 Open Ridden Foreign Breeds –
Open to all foreign breeds including Arabs and their part breeds. Any height. Stallion, mare or gelding
Class 11 Open ROR/ X Racehorse Ridden -
Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over. Horse must have at least trained to race or have raced flat, over jumps or point to point. To be judged on the sustainability to compete in all disciplines.
Class 12 Open Lead Rein –
Riders not to have attained their 8th birthday by the 1st January of the current year. Handlers must be age 14 years and over. Equine must be in a snaffle bridle. Lead rein to be attached to the nose band. Ponies to be 4 years old and over.
Class 13 Ridden Concours d’Elegance – QUALIFIER
Ridden Concours d’Elegance. Walk and trot in the ‘go around’ on both reins. Canter may be shown in individual show.
1st, 2nd and 3rd placed horse/ponies not already qualified in eligible classes will qualify for the Championship to be held at Onley Equestrian 25th – 26th September. If horse/ pony has already qualified, cards may be handed down to 6th place at judge’s discretion. Qualified horses will be given a qualification card in the ring.
Class 14 Riding Club Horse/ Pony Club Pony
For all riding club horses who take part in Riding Club events or ponies who compete in Pony Club. Horses/ponies will be judged on compatibility with either riding club or pony club events.
1st & 2nd from classes 1 – 14 will qualify for ridden championship. Championship will take place once Ring 1 and 2 have completed
Ring 1 – In Hand
All classes may be split if entries warrant.
Start - not before 1:30 – Judge: Mr M Maidment
Class 15 Youngstock 1/2/3-year-old –
Filly, Colt, Gelding. Any height or breed.
Class 16 In Hand Hunter or Hunting Type –
Any age. Stallion, Colt, Gelding, Filly or Mare. Handlers of any age.
Class 17 In Hand X Racehorse/ROR -
Stallion, mare or gelding. 4 years old and over. Horses to have at least trained to race or have raced flat, over jumps or point to point. To be judged on the sustainability to compete in all disciplines.
Class 18 In Hand Coloured Horse or Pony –
Any age, any height. To include piebald, skewbald, appaloosa, spotted, palomino and dun. Classes may be split if entries warrant.
Class 19 Young Handler –
Mare or gelding. NO COLTS OR STALLIONS. Handler not to have attained their 18th birthday by the 1st January of the current year.
Ring 2 – In Hand
All classes may be split if entries warrant.

Class 20 In hand Concours d’Elegance - QUALIFIER
In hand Concours d’Elegance. Walk and short trot from front to back of the group.

Class 23 In Hand Veteran Horse/ Pony -
Any height or breed. Horse or Pony to be 15 years old or over. Age to be displayed. Handlers any age
Class 24 In Hand Heavy Horse -
Open to all heavy horse breed. Horses any age. Handlers any age.
1st & 2nd from classes 15 – 24 will qualify for in hand championship. Championship will take place once Ring 1 and 2 have completed.
