Entries in Classes 20- are open to both ponies and horses and riders of any age. Horses and ponies will jump concurrently but will be judged separately. Classes may be split if entry numbers allow. Classes will be judged as follows:
Phase One - Each competitor will be required to jump a course of natural fences.
Phase Two - Non-eliminations will then be invited back into the ring and judged together in walk, trot & canter. They will then be asked to perform an individual show.

Open to horses, ponies, donkeys and mules, 4 years old and over. A single, pair or tandem driven to a vehicle capable of seating 2 or more persons. Traditional or non-traditional vehicles are permitted for the purpose of this class, they will be judged on equal merit. Pneumatic tyres specifically designed for carriages (not car tyres) are allowed. Lamps need not be carried. To be judged on cleanliness, safety of turnout, correct fitting of harness and vehicle suitability. To be judged 15% vehicle suitability, fit and cleanliness, 15% harness suitability, fit and cleanliness, 70% driver and groom, horse or pony, way of going and suitability as a family pleasure animal. Competitors may, for example be required to drive and halt between two pairs of cones and/or other specific movements to execute their show. Peter Checkley Perpetual Trophy and Rawlings Brothers Cup will be awarded to the winner.

This Show is affiliated to The Showing Register Amateur of the Year Final, taking place at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire on 28th and 29th November 2026. The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify. Classes are open to all members & non-members. Qualification cards will be provided in the ring. Classes 15 – 16, 18 – 19, 41 – 46 & 48 - 49

EQUIFEST
This Show is affiliated to EQUIFEST, taking place at the Arena UK, Grantham, Lincolnshire on the 6th – 9th August 2026. The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify. Qualification cards will no longer be sent to the Show Secretary. Instead, it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to download a qualification card before entering the show and getting this signed by either the Judge, Steward or Show Secretary at the time of qualification. Qualification cards are available to download from the EQUIFEST website. Classes 10 – 13; 15 - 19; 44 – 50; & 61

Terms & Conditions
1. The Committee reserves the right to cancel or alter the rotation of events. 2. Any protest (which must be made in writing by an exhibitor or representative stating the particulars and precise nature of the objection) must be deposited with the Secretary within one hour of the event and must be accompanied by a deposit of £25 which will be forfeited if in the opinion of the committee the objection proved frivolous. 3. Horses/ponies will be considered as being in the sole charge of their exhibitor/rider/owner. Owners must ensure that they have full and current public liability insurance to cover any damage, loss or injury caused by their animals/ riders/ vehicle/ equipment. 4. The Society will not be responsible for any damage, loss or injury to spectators or animals owing to accident or any other cause. 5. Personal safety: riders must wear appropriate safety helmets which must meet current standards. If in doubt, see BHS website. Helmets must be properly fitted, solid and unbroken. Helmets to be always worn when mounted. Appropriate riding footwear must also be worn. Body Protectors advisable for all jumping classes. 6. Riders birth certificates/pony height certificates may be required, and the Committee reserves the right to inspect these from winners in the classes where an age limit or height limit is specified. 7. All riders must attain their 3rd birthday by 1st January in the current year. All riders must be suitably mounted. 8. Handlers of all lead rein ponies must be at least 14 years of age. 9. Should any questions arise either upon the forgoing rules and regulations or upon any other matter connected with the show it shall be referred to the Committee whose decision shall be final. The Committee shall have the power to refuse any entry or cancel any entry which has been made. 10. All Dogs must be kept on leads and always be under control 11. If your dog fouls, you must clean it up immediately 12. Equine welfare is of paramount importance. Horses and ponies should not be left tied up unattended to any horse box, trailer, tree or fence or by any other similar means.
