Show Information
All Ages to be taken as at 1st January in current year. To be eligible to enter the TFSS Qualifier Classes 2, 6, 8, 10 and 11, LEAD REIN Riders MUST be aged 3-9 yrs and FIRST RIDDEN Riders MUST be aged 8-12 yrs with ponies not exceeding 128cm.

ENTRY FEES: We accept cash or card payments only. NO Cheques Member Showing = £5.00 per class. (£4.00 Pre-Entry per class) + £2.00 (First Aid per Rider) Non-Members Showing = £7.50 per class + £5.00 (Non-Membership Day Fee*), + £2.00 (First Aid per Rider)

PRIZES: Rosettes 1st- 6th place (CHRC Member Points allocation for annual awards = 1st =7pts 2nd =6pts 3rd =5pts 4th =4pts 5th =3pts 6th =2pts. Unplaced =1pt.)

Special Classes
This show is affiliated to Equine Sports UK (ESUK) Grassroots Championships taking place at Arena UK, Grantham, Lincolnshire on the 30th July – 1st August 2026. The three highest placed exhibits will qualify in each class. (2026 Q’s – 6th JUNE)

This show is a qualifier for The Sunshine Tour 2026 Championships held at The All-England Jumping Course, Hickstead from Thursday 17th – Sunday 20th September 2026. The Championships are for unaffiliated and amateur competitors in Showing for lead rein, in-hand, ridden and veterans. Qualification Period: Showing qualifiers from 1st Nov’ 25 to 31st Jul’ 26. Qualification: Showing 1st – 4th place. Qualification does not pass down the line. Registration of qualification must be completed within 1 month of competition (by 4th August for all July shows). Restrictions apply to both horse and competitor’s previous winningsand amateur status, please check the website for Terms & Conditions. Terms & Conditions
TFSS RULES, ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFYING CLASSES
All TFSS Qualifier classes at this show are run under The Friendly Showing Society (TFSS) Official Rulebook (v1.0, effective from 20 January 2026). By entering, all competitors confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by the TFSS Rules and the conditions set out in this schedule. The TFSS Rulebook applies in full unless otherwise stated within this schedule. In all matters of welfare, safety, eligibility, and conduct, TFSS Rules take precedence. TFSS Qualifying Classes The following classes may be offered as TFSS qualifiers, in-hand and/or ridden, where approved. Only those classes formally approved by TFSS may be run as qualifying classes at this show. Classes may include but are not limited to:
● Open Cob
● Open Coloured Horse or Pony
● Open Riding Horse / Hack
● Open Hunter
● Open Mountain and Moorland
● Veteran Horse or Pony Specific class conditions will be stated in the individual class descriptions.

Qualification
● 1st place qualifies
● 2nd place qualifies only if 1st has already qualified
● Qualifications do not automatically pass down the line
● Qualification may be withheld if, in the Judge’s opinion, the required standard has not been met
● Qualification is horse or pony specific and not transferable.
The Judge’s decision is final.
It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure that qualification cards are correctly completed, signed, and dated by the Judge, and that a clear copy of the horse or pony’s passport identification page is submitted in accordance with TFSS instructions.
TFSS accepts no responsibility for missing, incomplete, or incorrectly submitted documentation.

Horse Welfare
Horse welfare is the overriding principle at all TFSS-affiliated competitions.
The Judge, Steward, or Show Officials reserve the right to:
● Inspect tack, bits, spurs, and equipment at any time
● Eliminate competitors where welfare or safety is compromised
● Refuse entry to, or remove, any horse or pony deemed unfit, distressed, lame, exhausted, or unsafe
In the interests of safety and welfare, any fall of horse, rider, or handler will result in immediate disqualification. The Judge’s decision is final.

Eligibility
● Horses and ponies must be four years old or over to compete in both in-hand and ridden classes ●Stallions are permitted unless otherwise stated in the schedule and must be correctly registered and handled or ridden by a competent adult
● Junior competitors may not ride or handle stallions Any additional eligibility requirements will be stated in the individual class description.

Tack and Equipment
All tack must be safe, correctly fitted, and appropriate to the class.
Training aids are not permitted in the competition ring.
Any tack, bit, or equipment deemed inappropriate by the Judge or Steward may be prohibited.

Judges and Stewards
All Judges officiating at TFSS qualifying classes must be members of the TFSS Approved Judges Panel.
Stewards act on behalf of TFSS and have authority to enforce the Rules in the interests of welfare and safety.
All judging decisions are final.

Conduct, Behaviour and Social Media
Abuse of horses, officials, judges, stewards, volunteers, or competitors will not be tolerated.
Unsporting behaviour, including defamatory, abusive, or inflammatory comments made online by competitors or their associates acting on their behalf, which are likely to bring TFSS, its officials, or its competitions into disrepute, may be treated as a breach of TFSS Rules.
TFSS reserves the right to issue warnings, eliminate competitors, withdraw qualification, or refuse future participation.

Insurance and Liability
All competitors enter and compete entirely at their own risk.
By running TFSS qualifying classes, the organising show confirms that it holds valid public liability insurance.
Neither TFSS nor the Show Organisers accept responsibility for any loss, damage, injury, accident, or illness however caused.

• CHRC and/or its officials cannot be held responsible for any accident/damage/loss/injury or illness to persons, animals or property whatsoever other than the liability for a refund of entry fee in the event of abandonment of the competition/event. • The organisers have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take precautions to avoid/prevent accidents occurring and obey instructions of the organiser and officials, along with any safety signage on display. • The Committee reserve the right to decline membership and access to the grounds, events and facilities should the need arise. • ALL Competitors are to have their own Third-Party Liability Insurance. • ALL horses/ponies MUST be vaccinated to compete, with the 2nd vaccination being administered at least 7 days prior to attending a CHRC event. • Appropriate protective clothing and footwear MUST be worn at ALL times when mounted or when handling a horse. • ALL Riders whether competing or not, MUST wear Hard hats that are always up to UK/BRC/BHS current standards with chin strap properly adjusted and securely fastened – See BRC/BHS websites for guidance. Insurance will be void if standards are not met. • The organisers reserve the right to refuse an entry at their discretion, cancel, amend or amalgamate any class for any reason whatsoever. Entries accepted at Rider/Handler’s risk. • ALL ages as of the 1st January in the current year. • PLEASE use the litter bins provided or take your Rubbish home to dispose of. • For the safety of ALL attendees, the Main Showground Gate MUST be closed after entry to and upon exit from the ground. • ALL dogs must be kept on a lead (except when competing in Combination Jumping Class) and poops scooped. • NO horses/ponies to be left unattended in lorries/trailers. • No horse/pony to be entered twice competitively in any one class. • Lead rein ponies MUST compete in snaffle bits with lead rein attached to noseband. • Stallions are allowed in classes, but MUST be bitted correctly and handled by competent handlers aged 16yrs + • The Organiser/Judge’s decision is FINAL. • Any objections or complaints MUST be made to the Secretary in writing together with a deposit of £50 which will be forfeited if the objection is not upheld or is frivolous. The objection/complaint must be submitted within 30 minutes of the incident happening. • Fall of rider. Rider will not be allowed to remount and will be asked to leave the arena on foot. • Excessive use of artificial aids or abuse of horse/ponies will not be tolerated, any person seen to be doing so, will be asked to leave the showground. • Competitors should be mounted on suitably sized ponies/horses. Should a Judge or official be concerned that the rider is either under or over-horsed, they will be requested to withdraw in the interests of safety/animal cruelty. • All annual trophies must be returned in a clean condition – no later than 6 wks prior to the Presentation Evening. Alternatively, they can be returned at the last show of the Season in Oct. Penalties & Charges will apply to those failing to do so. Reminder: CHRC operates a Zero Tolerance policy to any form of abuse at all events held on behalf of the members. Appropriate action will be taken by the committee, and volunteers should this be necessary. This policy also applies to our social media platforms.
