TO BE HELD AT THE ROYAL INTERNATIONAL HORSE SHOW, HICKSTEAD, WEST SUXXEX RN17 5NU IN JULY 2026 TO JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RULES OF UK PONIES AND HORSES LTD: Owners must be Adult/Life Members, Riders must be current UK Ponies and Horses Ltd., Annual Members and the ponies currently registered with UK Ponies and Horses Ltd., before time of entry in order to compete in these classes. Open to Mountain and Moorland Ridden Stallion (Intermediate Class only) Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over. Registered in their approved Pure Breed Society Stud Books of Connemara, Dartmoor, Dales, Exmoor, Fells, Highland, New Forest, Shetland, Welsh A, B, C or D. The Highest placed exhibit not already qualified within the first five will qualify for the UK Ponies and Horses Ltd RIHS Young Riders M&M Ridden. The Highest placed pony not already qualified within the first five will qualify for the UK Ponies & Horses Ltd. RIHS Amateur Riders M&M Finals at the RIHS Hickstead in July 2026. Qualification will be verified by the office.
Competitors qualifying at this show for the Agria Royal International Horse Show 21 – 26 July 2026 must submit their entries ONLINE at https://equilive.uk Schedules will be available to download from the Hickstead website in April. Online entries will open on 11th May and entries close on 1st June 2026.

Competitors and all others attending the show are reminded of their obligations under Health & Safety legislation to adhere to any safety instructions of Stewards and Officials at all times and to adhere to any written instructions relating to safety. Neither the BSPS and Area 11 or any of its Officers, Assistants or Stewards shall in anyway be responsible for any loss, injuries or damages that may happen to ex exhibitors or their assistants or other members of the public, or to any animal or property or to any vehicle bought to the Showground or on any premises used in conjunction with the show, or while entering or leaving the same. It is necessary all Exhibitors carry Public Liability Insurance for an adequate Indemnity to protect against their negligence including any injury caused by their animals or property. You accept being around horses and riding at any standard has inherent risk and that all horses may react unpredictably on occasions. You may fall off and could be injured or be injured by another horse. By entering you accept these risks It is advisable that you take out your own Personal Accident Insurance to cover you against the risks of injury. Competitors shall be responsible for the behaviour of their Assistants and Riders and for the conduct of such persons and all persons in charge of exhibits shall be subject to instructions given by Judges and Stewards BSPS Area 11 does not accept liability for any horse/pony brought to the Showground with no entry made.
