ALL COMPETITORS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE TO COMPETE
Non British Riding Club members MUST HAVE their own personal liability insurance. By accepting the Terms and Conditions of this event you confirm that you are covered.

N.B. All classes will be judged under Pony Club & Riding Club Eventing Rules 1. The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entries. Entry fees are NOT refundable 2. The Pony Club & Riding Club rules will apply throughout 3. Any outside assistance or interference by anyone other than an OFFICIAL will incur elimination 4. The Judges’ decision is final; objections should be made to the secretaries’ tent within 20 minutes of results being final. 5. Legal liability – save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor the Pony Club, nor the Riding Club, nor any agent, employee, or representative East Essex PC Incorporating The British Riding Clubs Area 8 Qualifierof these bodies, accept any liability for any accident, loss of damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis 6. Health and Safety – organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and stewards 7. No horses/ponies under 5 years of age allowed to compete 8. Horse/Pony may only be entered into one class 9. Passports will not be routinely checked but there may be spot checks on the day, so please make sure you have your horse’s passport with you 10. Riding hats MUST have a PINK tag (PC, BE or BRC). It is mandatory to wear a protective helmet manufactured to one of the minimum standards. Hats must be worn when mounted, with chin strap fastened at all times. No fixed peaks for XC 11. The Cross-Country phase – Rider’s must wear a body protector meeting the BETA 2018 Level 3 Standard (blue and black label) AND sleeves covering shoulders 12. Riding hats and body protectors will be checked for the correct standard by discipline stewards 13. Spurs are only allowed in Pony Club classes if the rider has passed C+ riding or spurs test and is showing a YELLOW hat tag 14. Hair must be restrained and in a hair net if hair is below the collar. No electronic devices or Jewellery 15. Saddle cloth can be any solid colour. Contrasting piping permitted. Fly hood, nets and ear covers allowed. Ear plugs NOT permitted 16. Stopwatches allowed for all levels in RC and open classes. PC 90 and above only for pony club classes
