(Arab/Anglo/PBA) Pre Novice Rule - Pre Novice Ridden horses must be four years old or over and will be judged as a riding
horse. The judge will NOT ride. A short individual show will be required. Snaffle bridle must be worn and
spurs are not acceptable.
A Pre Novice Horse is one that has not been placed first in three pre novice classes and upon the third win
would automatically upgrade to normal Novice Classes where the judge rides.
Horses entered in Pre Novice classes may not enter classes above Novice level. Should a prenovice horses enter any BNC Open or HOYS qualifying classes it will be ineligible to enter Pre

Stables £50 plus £25 returnable deposit (see below) per stable when mucked out as requested. No straw bedding. Bedding will be available to be ordered from the show

Stabling: To be booked via the show and not the venue. Please note: A refundable payment of £25 per stable will be required to cover the cost should your stable not be sufficiently mucked out.

1. Conditions of Entry: All Arabian/Anglo/PBA exhibits must be registered in their respective Stud Books.
Part Bred Arab horses or ponies must have a minimum of 12.5% of Arab blood. Anglo Arabs carry the blood of
Arab and Thoroughbred only and in any proportion
2. Entries: Must be made using My Show Secretary —completing the information as requested. Correct
Entry Fees must be paid at the time of entry. Any number of entries may be made upon the payment of the
appropriate fee in accordance with the schedule for each class. The Committee may at their discretion refuse
to accept any entry, the entry together with the fee will be returned and no correspondence will be entered
into with regard to the non-acceptance. There will be no refunds on entry fees. Only the nominated animal
may enter the ring for judging. It is sometimes unavoidable that competitors may find that their classes
clash, if this should occur then it is up to the individual competitor to choose which class they compete in.
3. Correctness of Entry: Every exhibitor is responsible for the correctness of his/her entry, if when called
upon to prove its correctness and the exhibitor fails to do so the entry may be cancelled or if already
accepted disqualified.
4. Judges Interest: Competitors are requested to note the name of the Judge appointed in the particular
classes in which they wish to enter and are advised in the interest of all concerned not to knowingly enter an
animal where an actual or apparent conflict of interest may affect the judge’s decision. Please see AHS 2026
rules.
5. Substitution of Judges: The Committee reserve the right to change the identity of the judge for any
classes from the one previously announced.
6. Age of Exhibits: Horses/Ponies in ridden classes must be 4 years of age or over. Foals entering any ring
must be a minimum of 30 days old on the day of the show.
7. Alteration of Classes: The Committee reserve the right to amalgamate or split any classes in the event of
their being insufficient or over-subscribed entries.
8. Withholding Prizes: a judge may withhold any prize or prizes if, in his/her opinion, an exhibit is of
insufficient merit. The Judges decisions are final.
9. Championships: All first and second prize winners are invited to take part in the appropriate
Championships, unless otherwise stated in the catalogue. PLEASE INFORM THE STEWARD IF YOU DO NOT
INTEND ON COMING FORWARD.
10. Awards: The 10 GOLD Champions will receive red/gold garland and rosette; SILVER and BRONZE

11. Protests and Disputes: Any exhibitor wishing to lodge a protest against any other exhibitor must do so
at The Show Secretary’s Office within 30 minutes of the end of the class or the incident occurring. A
written protest must be accompanied by the appropriate fee (£25). If a protest involves breaches of Arab
Horse Society Rules and is submitted for action under those same rules then a fee of (£50) shall be required
and the protest will be submitted to The Arab Horse Society under their Rules. Any fee submitted may be
forfeited if the protest/Dispute is considered frivolous or vexatious. Any dispute as to the interpretation of
the rules or any matters arising out of infringements or protests lodged by an exhibitor of The Classic Show
shall be submitted to The Committee of the show for settlement whose decision shall be final and binding.
12. HEALTH and SAFETY: The organisers of this show have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the
health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all
reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the
Organisers and all the Officials and Stewards.
13. Exhibitors Risk and Responsibility: Neither the show venue owners, servants, nor the show Officers or
Servants shall be in any way responsible or accountable for anything that may happen (from any cause or
circumstance whatsoever) to exhibitors or their servants or agents or to any exhibit or to any vehicle
carrying any exhibit or anything else brought onto the showground or for anything else arising out of the
Classic Arabian Horse Show. EACH EXHIBITOR is solely responsible for any consequential or other loss/
injury or damage done to or commissioned by or arising from any animal or article exhibited by him/her and
shall indemnify the Show Organisers/Venue Owners against all legal or other proceedings in regard thereto.
It is therefore the responsibility of the exhibitor to ensure they have adequate insurance cover in
place.
14. Medical/Veterinary/Farrier: Owners/Exhibitors shall be responsible for any/all costs/fees for services
of these practitioners.
15. Passes: Spectators and vehicles will be admitted Free of Charge. No Horse box passes are required, but
we request that all parking directions from either stewards, committee members or signs be obeyed.
16. Dogs: All dogs MUST be on a lead on the showground—Dogs are not permitted in the catering areas. If
this may be a problem please leave your dogs at home. Thank you.
17. OUTSIDE ASSISTANCE. As per AHS Rule 19 (may change number when new rules come out)
Attempting to influence the behaviour of exhibits in the ring is forbidden. Exhibits must not be stirred up.
Horses must remain calmly in the collecting ring with a maximum of one handler/rider and one groom until
they enter the ring. No devices, artificial gadgets or loud noises shall be used to excite horses. This rule also
applies to persons on the outside of the ring or collecting ring. Exhibits which are excessively excited may be
asked to leave the ring or collecting ring and be disqualified from their class.
18. Anyone wishing to trade on the showground must obtain permission prior to the show. Please contact

19. Stables Competitors must notify the stable manager IMMEDIATELY if there is any problem/defect
noted within the stable BEFORE stabling your horse. Any damage caused is the responsibility of the
exhibitor (as named/signed on the entry form) who will be charged for repairs.
20. Any horse deemed unruly in the stables or on the showground will be required to leave (no refunds)
