Two-day Mounted Rally with visiting coach, Rachel Sheldon on Saturday 16 May & Sunday 17 May 2026 to be held at the Pony Club Field

 Rachel was lucky enough at 19 to work in Australia as a working pupil for event rider Stuart Tinney for 3 1/2 years, going to the world games in Rome as an Australian groom. Rachel then came back to England and worked for William Fox-Pitt, for a short stint of six months, as a rider. Following this, Rachel moved back home to Gloucestershire and set up on her own back at the family farm. Rachel has been lucky to have some lovely horses to event for different owners and has ridden up to 3 star level. Rachel has a a lovely yard, where she offers lessons from, she really enjoys teaching and also offers schooling/livery packages from her yard, and still enjoy her Eventing.

Regular group lessons are available as normal, but if you have a particular goal you’d like to work towards (within reason!) there is the option of a shared 2:1 or private 1:1 lesson. 

A Lead Rein ride will be provided if sufficient demand.

We are trialling a new structure which gives members more flexibility when choosing lessons. Regular group lessons are available as normal, but if you have a particular goal you’d like to work towards (within reason!) or would prefer a more focused session, there are additional options available.

Dress: 

•       Members - Pony Club Rugby/Sweatshirts, shirt & tie, pale jodhpurs.  

•       Hats must be tagged to ensure compliance to Pony Club standards.  

•       Body protectors are recommended to be worn (& must be to standard BETA 2018 Level 3 standard blue and black label)

•       Martingales or leather neckstraps recommended

•       No jewellery is allowed 

•       Tack should be in accordance with Pony Club Rules.  

Bookings and payment in advance only. You can book using our Secure Online Entry System Payment is secure and it goes directly to Jersey Drag Hunt Branch Of The Pony Club. You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.

• Group - £30

• Shared 2:1 £35 (please specify the name of the rider you have agreed to share a lesson with when booking)

• Private 1:1 - £45

Email/text bookings will not be accepted (except for lead rein/flat work ride enquiries).

STRICT LATE ENTRY FEE £15 on top of standard fee

Refund policy: No Refunds except on a vets note, doctors note or 48 hours notice.

NON-MEMBERS All non-Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have

their own third-party cover. The Jersey Drag Hunt Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are

not legally responsible for non-Members and their insurance will not cover you. Please provide evidence of

your third-party cover.

LEGAL LIABILITY Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone

for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent,

employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any

accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and

accessories or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of

contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
