Combinations from this class cannot compete in classes 3,4,5 or 6. The 1st and 2nd prize winners will qualify for the Extravaganza Training Stakes Championship. If already qualified then the qualification will be passed down the line to clear rounds only. This class is run as a Training Stakes class. Competitors will each progress directly to the showing element on completion of jumping . NETHERTON EQUESTRIAN/BHS SCOTLAND RIDING CLUB STYLE JUMPING SERIES 2025 Course max 85cm. Open to horses 4yo and over, not to have any BE points and not to have completed at BE100 or above in the current or previous calendar year. Riders 18yo on 1 Jan 2025. Run under BRC rules. To be eligible to compete at the final riders must be a senior member of a riding club affiliated to BRC. The course will have 8 to 12 obstacles, maximum 85cm in height with a maximum spread of 90cm one of which should be a double. The optimum speed for this competition is set at 325mpm. One penalty point will be deducted for every second over the optimum time. The first three qualify for the final, even if they did not jump clear. If one of the first three has already qualified, the qualification can be passed down to fourth place provided they have jumped clear. Riders eighteen years or over. The qualified riders MUST be a member of a British Riding Club by the time of the final. The first THREE qualify for the final, even if they did not jump clear. If one of the first three has already qualified the qualification can be passed down to fourth place provided they have jumped clear. The qualified riders MUST be a member of a British Riding Club by the time of the final. This competition series is run under Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain (SHB GB), the governing body of all hunter and sports horses classes. Terms & Conditions

 

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1) The show is run under current BRC rules, except where stated otherwise, and it is the responsibility of the competitor to be aware of these rules.

2) All riders when mounted, whether competing or not, must wear a hard hat complying with one of the following specifications and with the strap properly adjusted and fastened.

I) PAS015 (2011) + BSI KITE MARK OR INSPEC IC MARK

II) VG1 01.040 (2014-12) + BSI KITE MARK OR INSPEC 1C MARK

III) ASTM F1163 (2015 or 2023) + OFFICIAL SEI MARK

IV) SNELL (E2016 or E2021)  + OFFICIAL SNELL LABEL AND NUMBER

V) AS/NZS 3838 (2006 onwards) + OFFICIAL SAI GLOBAL MARK

 

VI) EN1384: 2023 provided they are BSI KITE MARK OR INSPEC IC MARK

It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure they are wearing hats to the correct standard. Any rider found to be using a hat to a lower specification will be disqualified.

3) Neither the organisers, nor Morris E.C, nor anyone acting on their behalf accept any responsibility for loss, damage or injury to any persons, animals or property whatsoever. Riding club members are covered for Third Party liability under the BRC insurance policy – non-members must have their own third party liability cover.

4) There will be first aiders present at the show. No vet or farrier will be present.

Any incidents or accidents must be reported to the secretary for recording in the accident book.

5) All ridden horses/ponies must be at least 4 years of age.

6) Horses/ponies must only be ridden at walk except in designated warm-up areas.

7) No horses/ponies to be left unattended whilst tied outside trailers/lorries.

8) All dogs must be on a short lead at all times.

9) Complaints must be put in writing and given to the show secretary, accompanied by a £20 deposit, within 15 mins of the incident complained of. The deposit will be returned if the complaint is upheld by the organising committee.

10) Anyone aged 17 or under must be accompanied by an adult taking full responsibility for their well-being and actions at all times.

11) The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry without having to state a reason and to combine, split or cancel classes if they consider it necessary.

12) The organisers make every effort to avoid classes clashing, but in the event of such a clash, the competitor must decide in which class they wish to compete.

13 In respect of any classes at this show which are qualifiers for subsequent championship shows, compliance with any relevant eligibility criteria for these classes is the competitor’s responsibility and not that of the club or show organisers.

14) Competitors are required to take home any rubbish as a matter of courtesy. Please pick up any droppings from the vicinity of your box/trailer and do not muck out onto the car park.

15) Official photographs may be taken on the day and may be used and published for publicity and/or information purposes by or on behalf of Polnoon Castle Riders' Association and/or BRC. Results showing competitors’ and horses’ names may be published by Polnoon Castle Riders' Association and passed to relevant organisations.

Anyone not in agreement with this should advise the organiser when making their entry.

 

Acceptance of the foregoing provisions is a condition of entry.
