Eligibility

For all RoR Competition Registered horses that have qualified and for riders aged 15 years and over at 1st Jan 2026

 

This RoR Regional Championship event is a qualifier for the RoR National Dressage Championships 2026 which will be held at the Jockey Club RoR National Championships at Aintree in August 2026.                                                       The Championship classes will run and judged under BD rules, they will however, also be affiliated to RoR only and no BD grading points will be awarded.

How to qualify for RoR Regional Dressage Horse Championship classes

 

1)     Riders must submit two score sheets for the level at the required minimum percentage or above from affiliated competitions, unaffiliated competitions or both.

2)     Score sheets must include the registered racing name of the horse, have full details re date and venue and must be signed by the Judge.

3)     The qualification is for horse/rider, no substitutes (horse or rider) allowed.

4)     Horse/rider combinations are allowed to compete in two classes at adjacent levels so long as they have submitted the relevant qualifying score sheets.

5)     Horses qualified with two riders are not allowed to be entered more than once in the same Championship class. Combinations can take part in any regional championship but must submit the relevant score sheets for each.

6)     To submit qualifying scores for verification, members must email their scores with supporting proof by way of screenshot of event scoreboard, BD record etc. to aparkinson@ror.org.uk

Prize Structure:

Championship Classes: rosettes to 6th place and a finalist rosette to each competitor. Prizes in kind may also be available. Competitors, in accordance with BD rules, must attend prize givings, mounted or unmounted at the organiser’s discretion, or ensure that they are represented, when requested by the organiser.

Failure to attend (unless agreed with the organiser) may result in the forfeit of rosettes or other awards.

Correct competition dress should be worn for prize givings, whether mounted or not.

  Any person attending the Centre agree to be bound by the following rules and conditions.

 

Please note our current vaccination policy is Horses must be up to date with at least their annual vaccines.

ALL ENTRIES TO BE MADE IN ADVANCE VIA OUR WEBSITE.

The organisers and landowners do not accept any responsibility or liability for any accident, damage, injury or illness to any person, animal or property whatsoever arising out of, or at, this venue. We strongly recommend that all persons entering Beacons Equestrian have Third Party Insurance in order to protect themselves from injury or damage compensation claims caused by them or their animals.

Where applicable, events will be run in accordance with the Official Discipline Rules, BE, BD & BS unless otherwise stated on schedule.

Appropriate and safe attire must be worn at all times, riders must ensure that suitable protective headgear meets current standards. Correct footwear is to be worn at all times when mounted.

Attendees at the Centre shall comply with signs erected for the benefit & safety of all.

In all competitions, the judges' decision in final, unless an objection is lodged within 15 minutes of the end of the class. Objections must be made in writing to the Secretary with a £25 deposit. If the objection is upheld, the deposit will be refunded.

Horses/Ponies must not be left tied to lorries/trailers and left unattended.

Please make sure all droppings etc. are removed from around your vehicle before departing

NO MUCKING OUT INTO THE LORRY PARK PLEASE!

No grazing verges or grass banks for Biosecurity reasons

Dogs must be kept on short leads at all times and are not permitted in the Arenas. Owners are requested to pick up & dispose safely any mess left by their dogs.

All prizes and prize money should be applied for on the day of the show or within 30 days, after which it will be forfeited.

Lost property found at the Centre will be held for 4 weeks after which time it will be disposed of.

Stallions at shows may only attend if the owners and riders ensure that all sensible precautions are taken to protect other competitors and their property.

Any equipment broken during any period of hire will be chargeable - please pick up your horses droppings from the arenas during your hire and place in the bins provided

The Arena you hire is the arena you use, no entering the other arenas even if they are empty!

No Horse under the age of 4 may compete in any ridden class.

Beacons EC reserve the right to:

Alter, add or cancel any class and to refuse any entry without stating a reason.

Restrict entries on the day if necessary for the efficient running of the show.

Withdrawals, Refunds and Entry Policy

All competitions are pre-entry only, no refund or transfer is possible after initial close of entries date as published on the schedule.

All withdrawals to be made via e-mail please.

The booking fee is non-refundable in all cases.

For withdrawals before the published closing date refunds of the Entry Cost can be made less £3.00 Admin Fee alternatively, we can offer a free transfer to another event.

No refunds or transfers can be made during the late entry period unless we are able to replace it from a wait list.

Please see relevant rule books for additional policies in place for British Dressage, British Show Jumping and British Eventing.

In the case of abandonment of a competition for any reason, we will offer a free transfer towards an alternative competition, or a refund minus a £3.00 admin fee. The booking fee is non-refundable in all cases.

Clinics and Hire Refund Policy

The booking fee is non-refundable in all cases.

Clinics – no refunds if cancelled within 7 days unless directly replaced, then cost refunded less £3.00 admin fee.

Arena Hire – we operate a 48hr cancellation policy. After this time no refund or transfer can be made unless directly replaced, then cost refunded less £3.00 admin fee.

Dressage and Combined Training – After published close of entry date £2.00 per entry late fee applies
