1. General Use of Facilities
• No Whitcombe Racing Stables employees are available during the day of hire. All persons using the facilities do so entirely at their own risk.
• Whitcombe Racing Stables reserves the right to refuse entry to the premises and/or refuse any booking at its discretion.
• Facilities, arenas, gallops, equipment and parking areas are used at the user’s own risk. Whitcombe Racing Stables accepts no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury, death or illness to horses or riders, owners, spectators, vehicles, property or personal belongings.
2. Assumption of Risk
• Riding, working with, and handling horses is inherently dangerous. Horses are unpredictable and may cause injury or damage.
• It is a condition of entry that every person entering the premises agrees that they do so voluntarily and at their own risk, accepting all risks of injury, loss or damage inherent in equestrian activities.
• Where the rider is under 18 years of age, their parent, guardian or accompanying responsible adult also agrees to these terms on their behalf.
3. Liability Disclaimer
Whitcombe Racing Stables, its owners, employees and all persons connected with the equestrian facilities do not accept liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury, death or illness to any rider, horse, owner, spectator, vehicle, property or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or otherwise.
4. Riders Under 18
• All riders and visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
5. Safety Requirements
• A properly fitting hard riding hat conforming to current British/BHS standards must be worn at all times whilst mounted.
• Footwear with a heel must be worn at all times whilst mounted.
• Back protectors are strongly recommended.
• All riders must be accompanied by another responsible person (mounted or unmounted) and must have access to a mobile phone to summon assistance in an emergency.
6. Facility Rules
• No lunging is permitted in the arena.
• Users must familiarise themselves with the arena, gallops and facilities before riding and assess suitability for themselves and their horse/pony.
• All gates must be closed on entry and exit and all signage must be obeyed.
• Any damage to fences, facilities or equipment must be reported immediately to Whitcombe Racing Stables.
• All droppings must be removed from arenas and parking areas before leaving.
• No dogs allowed on the premises.
• Whitcombe Racing Stables operates a no smoking policy.
7. Accidents and Emergencies
• All accidents must be reported, and an accident report form completed and passed to Whitcombe Racing Stables.

8. Insurance Requirements
• Trainers, instructors, coaches or teachers must hold current public liability insurance.
• Any person bringing a groom, rider or paid assistance onto the premises must hold employers’ liability insurance.
• Proof of insurance must be provided upon request.
9. Payments and Bookings
• Online entries are processed through Horse Events Manager and are subject to a £1.50 administration fee per transaction.
10. Vaccination Policy
• All horses must be up to date with annual Equine Influenza vaccinations.
• If vaccinations have lapsed, the full vaccination course must be restarted and the second vaccination completed before riding at Whitcombe Racing Stables.
• Spot checks may be carried out.
11. Acceptance of Terms
By entering the premises and/or using the facilities at Whitcombe Racing Stables, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions and Disclaimer of Liability and agree to use the facilities entirely at your own risk.
