Show Information
Workshop Objectives
    ● To equip every participant with an increased knowledge of the two-way path between handler / horse re confidence communication.
    ● Pprovide deeper understanding and insight of the minute details within your own body language, emotion, and physiology that can help / hinder you during certain activities with your horse.
    ● Increased awareness of how the environment (novel or common) can throw in new problems to how your horse / you may function
    ● Demonstrate why “ Three Ps” - Preparation, Practice, Prevention - should be at the root of how you approach every interaction with your horse.
Although this workshop is geared to Equestrian Sport, its foundation is derived from the psychology of confidence in both people and horses.

Agenda
    ● 10:00 - Welcome / Intro.
    ● 10:20 - Theory session / group discussion - interacting with horses in hand.
    ● 11:00 - Practical working human to human.
    ● 12:00 - Q/A / feedback.
    ● 12:30 - Lunch
    ● 13:00 - Theory session / group discussion - interacting with horses ridden.
    ● 14:00 - Practical working horse to human.
    ● 15:00 - Q/A, round-up, summary of take-away learning.
    ● 16:00 - Finish

Other Details
    ● Max Participants 16 (Adults)
    ● Participants are welcome to bring their own horses - provided horses are ok to be tied up at your lorry / trailer for periods of up to an hour. All horses attend at the owner’s risk.
    ● There is an onsite cafe, but be ready to bring your own lunch.

Hannah Makin - Chief Instructor
I have been riding and competing for over 30 years. I am an Equestrian psychology coach, and former NHS and Private practice psychologist. My training and experience has led me to work primarily in psychological coaching, with two very separate client groups: Health psychology clients, and equestrian clients. My specialisms lie within anxiety / trauma / depression / limiting self beliefs / fears and phobias.
