Bookings must be made in advance only using our Secure Online Entry System via the MyRidingLife App.
Payment is secure and it goes directly The Grange EC.
 
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.


The hire charges are £35 per session (for up to 2 horses)
Additional horses are available within the same slot at £5 per horse.

Terms & Conditions

No responsibility can be taken by the organisers for any accident or damage to competitors, attendants, animals, spectators, or their property, or vehicles of any description. By entering this competition/ arena hire, the exhibitor of any horse or pony accepts that The Grange Equestrian Centre , the organiser or any of the officers of the show will not be held responsible or accountable for anything that may happen from any cause or circumstance whatsoever to any persons, exhibitors or their servants or to any animal or article or property brought into the show ground.

 

General

·       By entering any equestrian class or competition run or held at The Grange Equestrian Centre, you acknowledge that you are taking part in a risk sport and are a competent rider at the level to which you are competing.

·       The Grange insists that hard hats which conform to a minimum BSI standard MUST be worn, correctly fastened, by any person who is mounted whilst on the showground. Any handler under 16 should wear a current correctly fitted standard hat in the ring.

·        Back protectors are advised for all jumping activities. 

·       DEFRA may require competitors to produce their horse passport at any time.

·       No lunging whatsoever in any Arena.

·       All litter and droppings to be removed from lorry parking area.

·       Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and any mess cleaned up.

·       The Grange generally has a photographer for most events for your convenience. We reserve the right to publish any images taken at the event, whether still or moving, on its Facebook or Web Pages, unless you specifically advise us otherwise.

 

Car Park

·       Do not park anywhere on site, except in the main car park.

·       Do not move any barriers.

·       Please park sensibly, especially for larger events. Do not take up more space than is necessary.

·       Please pick up your muck before leaving and deposit in the large green muck trailer in the car park.

·       No lorries to be mucked out onto the car park or hedges.

·       No horses to be left unattended and tied to the outside of their lorry/trailer.

·       No hay nets to be tied to the outside of horse lorries or trailers.

·       No Horses to be left in their lorry/trailer overnight.

 

Competitions

·       All competitors take part at their own risk and are expected to exercise due care at all times and obey all notices placed for their control. 

·       The organiser reserves the right to alter the schedule, refuse entry and to cancel a class. 

·       All Unaffiliated events will be run 

·       Warm up in designated area only. 

·       Practice fences must be jumped in the correct way as flagged and must not be higher than the class being jumped. 

·       The judge’s decision is final. 

·       No horse/pony under 4 years of age may compete. 

·       We support our judges decision with regards to all aspects of horse/pony welfare.

·       Any misuse/abuse of whips/spurs at any event will result in expulsion from the venue.

·       All combination , Lead Rein and First Ridden classes must be ridden in a snaffle bridle with cavesson noseband only. Lead reins must be attached ONLY to the noseband.

·       All competitors are recommended to have 3rd party insurance.

·       The Grange reserves the right to refuse any entry to protect the welfare of any horse/pony.

·       The Grange reserves the right to limit entries to control class sizes. Classes may be cancelled or amalgamated if insufficient entries

·       All competitors, horses and ponies must be correctly dressed for their classes.



Arena Hire for personal use

·       The arena is hired in one hour timeslots. 

·       You must arrive and finish within the hour booked so the next person has their full allocated time.

·       The Arena light switch is half way down on the right hand side. 

·       Any droppings removed from arenas and put into the containers provided.

·       If a course of jumps has been set up you must not:

o    Change the course.

o   Add or remove any jumps.

o   Use any of the poles for trot or canter poles. If you need some for this purpose please ask and they will be provided for you.

·       Please leave the course/arena as you found it.

 



Arena Hire for Clinics or Events

·       When hiring facilities/ arenas at The Grange Equestrian Centre, the hirer is responsible for conducting their own risk assessments, the centre cannot be held responsible for; incidents, accidents, injuries, theft or any damage to vehicles whatsoever. 

·       For larger events, you must follow the Grange equestrian Centres Emergency plans and follow the instructions of centre staff and stewards in the case of an emergency.

·       It is the responsibility of the hirer to have adequate insurance including public liability. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that they and any attendees adhere to The Grange Equestrian Centres general rules and regulations. 

·       Any damage to the centre’s property, arenas and equipment must be rectified and paid for in full by the hirers. 

·       All other terms of hire elsewhere in these conditions apply as relevant to your hire activity.
