Two-day Mounted Rally with visiting coach, Stephen Way on Saturday 31 January & 1 February 2026 to be held at Home Farm, La Rue es Abbes, St John, JE3 4EB by kind permission of Mr & Mrs Trevor Barette
Stephen is an International Event Rider and an experienced BHSI Performance Coach and British Eventing Accredited Level 3 Coach. Alongside competing at a high level, Stephen has many years’ experience coaching riders of all levels, from Pony Club and grassroots level right through to top-level riders. He has also coached an individual rider at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Stephen is passionate about helping riders to develop their skills and improve their horses & ponies to work towards personal goals.
This winter instructional with Stephen Way will be progressive and ideal for winter fitness levels, with sessions designed to be skill-based. The focus will be on good technique, helping every pony and rider to enjoy a positive, confidence-building experience through the use of polework and gymnastic jumping.
A Lead Rein ride will be provided if sufficient demand.
We are trialling a new structure which gives members more flexibility when choosing lessons. Regular group lessons are available as normal, but if you have a particular goal you’d like to work towards (within reason!) or would prefer a more focused session, there are additional options available.
Members can choose either a shared private lesson with a friend (maximum of 2 riders) or a private 1:1 lesson, allowing Stephen to tailor the session to individual needs.
Non-members – Should space permit, non-members will be accepted, at an extra non-member fee charge of £10.
