Show Information

Based at Kirkley Hall College, Spencer is the latest in riding simulator technology. Whether you're a beginner, or looking to really hone your skills, Spencer can help in so many ways.
Do you want to...

Develop your core, balance and posture?
Understand how to use your body in the most effective way to influence your horse?
Repeat movements to gain full understanding of the aids?
Get immediate feedback on your riding in a controlled, safe environment without having to worry about how your horse may react?
Have fun with friends?
Then book your place for one of these sessions. Previous riders have said 'that's amazing and so much fun', 'I understand how to sit to the trot now', 'I feel much braver about canter transitions now'.

You can choose your aim for your session; sometimes it's just about coming along and having a go to see what it's all about.

Tracey Hutchinson, our trainer for the day, specialises in rider biomechanics and the relationship with the horse and has many years' experience of working with riders who want to #betherideryourhorsewouldchoose. An Accredited BHS Coach, a Neurolinguistic Programming Master Practitioner, Happy Brain Coach and Trainer and trainee yoga teacher with a diploma in equine psychology, Tracey brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to help you focus on your own development which is directly transferable to your riding.

Additional info:
Wear what you would normally wear to ride your horse, inc. your hat. If you always wear a body protector to ride then also bring that too as you need to be riding Spencer as you are when you are on your horse. Boots must be suitable for riding (not trainers/yard boots etc) and must be clean.

Again, you can ride Spencer with a stick, as he’s not stick shy, so if you carry one normally then bring one to this session.

Please be aware that Spencer has a weight limit of 16stones.

A sense of humour is essential when riding Spencer; what happens on Spencer stays on Spencer!

Videos, photos & spectators are welcome.

NOTE: you must arrive 5mins prior to your allotted time.
