ALL PC MEMBERS WISHING TO WEAR SPURS WILL NEED THE ADDITIONAL YELLOW HAT TAG

Competitors will jump a course of show jumps immediately followed by a course of cross-country style fences with the second section being timed, jumping penalties from both sections will count and the fastest time with the fewest jumping penalties will decide the placings. Except class 4A which is optimum time for the full course as per the Spring Festival Qualifier format & rules. Rosettes to 8th Place, Sashes for Winners of all Classes & Prizes for 1-3rd in each Class.

Style Rules (Class 4A NOT Included): Rosettes to 6th Place
Competitors are automatically entered into this element of the competition. Each rider to be judged on the following:
1. Rhythm
2. Approach
3. Rider position and seat
4. Partnership/harmony
5. Overall impression/appearance

Class 4A – Area 13 Arena Eventing Spring Festival Qualifier: Prize for 1st Place Team.

Terms & Conditions
BODY PROTECTORS MUST BE WORN & TO THE CORRECT STANDARD AS PER PONY CLUB RULES.
THEY NEED TO BE PRESENTED TO THE SECRETARY ON ARRIVAL WITH YOUR HATS WHICH MUST HAVE THE PC PINK HAT TAG. PC MEMBERS WEARING SPURS MUST HAVE THE YELLOW HAT TAG.
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN COMPETITOR NUMBER & BIB WITH YOU TO WEAR ON THE DAYSC&SH MEMBERS – You must provide a helper on the day, please email the branch with the name and contact details and we will allocate them a slot.

Rules of Event and Conditions of Entry
1. Health, Safety and Welfare: Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers, officials and stewards. 2. Legal Liability: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis. 3. Insurance: Please be aware that all non-Pony Club competitors/spectators are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third-party cover. The Staff College & Sandhurst Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-Members, and their insurance will not cover you. 4. Rule Books: This competition will be run in accordance with Pony Club Arena Eventing Rules 2026, with the amendment of fasted time not optimal time except Class 4A which will be optimum time. It is the responsibility of all competitors to know the rules. Please refer to the main Pony Club website for full rule book. 5. Event Cancellation: In the event of cancellation notification will be posted on SC&SH PC website, monies will be refunded less £7.50 per entry administration fee. 6. Objections: The judge’s decision is final. Any objection must be made to the secretary with a deposit of £20 within 30 minutes of the incident. If the complaint is not upheld, then the £20 will be considered forfeit. 7. Refusal of Entries: The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry without stating a reason for doing so and also reserve the right to eliminate any competitor who in their opinion places her/himself or others in danger or fails to observe rules. 8. Refunds: Entry fees will only be refunded on production of a vet or doctor’s certificate presented in advance of the competition. 9. Horses: Horses or ponies must be 4 years or over on the day of the show and no horse/pony can compete more than once in a class/section and no more than 2 different classes. 10. Riders: No Horses/ponies may be ridden other than by the competitor and take place only in the collecting ring/designated warm up area. Horses/ponies must be walked in all other areas. 11. Parking Area: Please ensure that the area around your horseboxes/trailers are left clean and tidy and in particular that all droppings and hay are cleared up. Horses and ponies tied up to the outside of horseboxes or trailers must not be left unattended. 12. Rider Hats: Must conform to the latest hat standards and be tagged with pink tags please, hat tagging may be requested for £1 13. Spurs: Spurs may only be worn by Pony Club Members if you have passed your C+ and/or Spurs Test and you must provide proof of this to the organiser upon request. A yellow hat tag must be worn. 14. Passports: There will be spot checks on passports on the day. All riders to declare with their passport. 15. Horse Vaccinations: In line with the most up to date PC rules on horse vaccinations. 16. Long sleeved jackets/shirts/xc tops must be worn with a body protector to current PC standards which can be found here. 17. TIMES: They will be available via my riding life/Pony Club Results, on or before 16th Jan 2026. 18. Dogs: They must be always kept on leads and remain the responsibility of the owner. If any dog is found loose on the College grounds unattended, then appropriate action will be taken. Dogs are not allowed into the viewing gallery. These are the venues rules. 19. Reasonable Adjustment: The Pony Club is committed to ensuring that, wherever possible, members are able to access all aspects of the Branch and Centre activities we offer. Reasonable Adjustments are any actions that help to reduce the effect of a disability or difficulty. Any requests for Reasonable Adjustment must be made to staffcollege@pcuk.org by 4th January 2026.
