Terms & Conditions

1. Entry deadlines- each entry and video submission must be done by 16:00 on the closing date, after this time entries and videos cannot be recieved. Refunds will not be made, 24 hours prior to the close.

2. Once you have submitted your video link, you may not delete or re-upload a new video, videos can be uploaded to Vimeo or You Tube and then a link copied to the “CLASS NOTES” section on entry. 

3. The video must be taken for the purpose of entering this online dressage series, you must verbally introduce the video with the rider name, horse name, Castle Farm online dressage (+ month entered) and which test entry. 

4. Dress down- dress code. But must be wearing a riding hat and suitable boots. 

5. Tack to follow the British Dressage rules. 

6. Castle Farm take no responsibilty for accidents or injury that occur to you or your horse during the recording of your entry. 

7. The video recorder must stand approximately 3 metres back from the C marker of the arena and the whole arena must be visible at all times during the video, and must be filmed in landscape orientation.

8. Videos must be continuous throughout the tests and no clipping or editing permitted and video must include original sound. 

9. Tests may be called but not coached.

10. Arena markers must be visible and in the correct positions, and the test must be performed in the correct sized space. 

11. Tests may be performed on a surfaced arena or on grass.

12. Lead rein is permitted for intro tests.  

Points system:
Points will be collected per horse and rider combination in each section. Each test level has its own league, you may be part of more than one of the leagues. All PYO tests will be judged against each other despite the level and marked based own % only and counted towards the PYO league. 

Rosettes will be awarded 1st-6th place for each test. Sashes will be awarded to the winner of each league at the end of the series. Sheets will be emailed to the email which was registered on entry.

There will be a winter league with points earned based on percentage. Lead rein is welcomed and judged in their own league table and placings. 

Points are as follows:

80.00% +, 11 points

78-79.99%, 10 points

76-77.99%, 9 points

74-75.99%, 8 points

72-73.99%, 7 points

70-71.99%, 6 points

68-69.99%, 5 points

66-67.99%, 4 points

64-65.99%, 3 points

62-63.99%, 2 points

60-61.99%, 1 point 

-60%, 0 points

 

 

Payment Details & Event Fees

Bookings in advance only. You can book using our Secure Online Entry System.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Castle Farm XC.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.

£14 per class

Withdrawals/Refunds

 Withdrawal up to 24 hours prior to close of entries will recieve a full refund. Any withdrawal post 24 hours prior to the event will not recieve credit or refunds. 

Terms & Conditions

This must be read by all riders before booking and using the cross country course

Safety
Horse riding is a dangerous sport, Castle Farm Livery & Cross Country cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage or injury caused to riders, horses, or property and only permit riders to hire the facilities on this basis. All hirers must accept this declaration, confirming that they alone carry the responsibility for any accidental injury or damage that may occur as a result of riding on these premises.
Riding hats conforming to current British Eventing safety standards must be worn at all times when mounted
Body protectors conforming to current British Eventing safety standards must be worn whilst riding on the XC course
All riders must have a responsible adult with them to assist in case of an emergency
All riders to have a mobile phone with them in case of emergency
Car/lorry park gates must always be shut in case of a loose horse
Use of XC is not exclusive, there may be other riders using the XC or hacking on the farm. Numbers will be limited
Check each fence for damage both sides before jumping, in case the horse before you has damaged it and not reported it. Please report any damages, so we can keep it safe for everyone
Only jump fences within your and your horse’s capability
Any areas which are roped off are out of bounds for maintenance etc
Where a fence has flags, it must be jumped with the red flag on the right as you jump it
Please respect others using the course and communicate if you wish to overtake anyone in front of you
British weather is unpredictable, please ride safely and respectfully according to the ground conditions

STRICTLY NO DOGS ALLOWED

Insurance
If you bring an instructor with you, they must have up to date insurance to cover teaching at our venue
Riders must each have public liability insurance to cover them for the horse they are riding

All rubbish and horse muck must be taken home with you

Rescheduling & cancellations
You may reschedule or receive a credit note for your booking up to 24 hours prior to your slot
If we need to cancel your booking due to ground conditions, you will be contacted and receive a full refund
