Rules: This competition is run under current British Riding Clubs rules unless superseded by the rules below. The current BRC Handbook and Rule Amendments document can be found on: https://www.bhs.org.uk/british-riding-clubs/brchandbook/ 1. BRC Code of Conduct 2. All entries are accepted only upon the terms of the general rules and conditions below. Your signature on the entry form shall be deemed to be an acceptance of the rules and conditions. 3. The judges’ decisions are final. 4. NO REFUNDS if less than 48hrs before. In the event of cancellation of this event £3 shall be retained from each competitor to cover administrative expenses. 5. Health & Safety – The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards. 6. Disclaimer of Liability – Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor the British Horse Society, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, vehicles, land or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. 7. All lorries and trailers must be parked where instructed in an orderly fashion in the designated parking areas only and the gate to the lorry park kept closed. Please do not muck out your lorry/trailer onto the car park. All muck and hay to be taken home with you on the day. 8. Cars must not park in the lorry park. 9. Strictly no dogs allowed BRC Entries: 1. For Winter qualifiers and onwards, BRC has introduced a ‘competition pass’ this will take the place of Pre-Entries. To compete and qualify for BRC championships, all entrants must have a valid club membership AND a valid competition pass, which can be purchased via the BRC Sport80 portal. Any member competing at a qualifier without both club membership and a competition pass will be disqualified. 2. It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria, the eligibility table can be found here: https://www.bhs.org.uk/british-riding-clubs/brchandbook. 3. Horses can only compete in 2 consecutive classes (ie 60 & 70, or 90 & 100) 4. Closing date for entries Thursday 13th November 5. NO REFUNDS if less than 48hrs before. In the event of cancellation refunds will be given less £5 administration fee when requested by email to caroline.exley@talk21 Tack & Turnout: 1. All riding hats must have a visible current BRC/BE/PC pink hat tag 2. For any event with cross country riders must NOT have a fixed peak on their hat. 3. A body protector is not mandatory for this competition. 4. Riders wearing Exo-Body cages, in which the BETA Level 3 2009 Purple Label, must inform the official steward/organiser before the event. Health and Safety guidelines: Flu Vaccinations & Microchips Your horse must have up to date influenza vaccinations in line with rule G7 in the current BRC Handbook. There is also a downloadable flu vac checking spreadsheet available to check the flu vaccination: BRC Downloads | The British Horse Society (bhs.org.uk) under ‘Competitions’. How the area will be checking flu vacs (before or at the competition)
