Class 1- Best mane and tail (9am)
Any age and any handler
Class 2 – Prettiest mare (9:15)
Any mare or filly
Class 3 – Handsomest gelding (9:30)
Any gelding, stallion or colt
Class 4 – Best family horse or pony (9:45)
Any mare, gelding, filly, colt or stallion
Class 5 – Best Turned out (10am)
Best Turned Out: 30% Cleanliness, condition and correctness of tack: 30% Cleanliness and preparation of pony: 30% Cleanliness, neatness handler, 10% overall impression
Class 6 – In hand youngstock (10:15am)
Open to any filly or colt 3 years or below from January 2025
Class 7 – In hand Veteran (10:30am)
Any horse or pony 15 years or over
any breed and height.
Class 8 – Best young Handler (10:45am)
Open to any horse or pony, Handler must be 16 or under
Class 9 - In Hand M & M, Shetland, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Welsh, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Connemara, open to native breeds (11:00am)
60% correctness of breed, 20% manners, 20% overall presentation
Class 10 - In Hand Riding/hunter horse/pony (11:15am)
In Hand Riding / Hunter ponies, stallion, mare, colt, filly or gelding. Any age, any height
Class 11 - In Hand Coloured (11:30)
skewbald, piebald, tri coloured, road, palomino, Dunn, roan and spotted, open to horses and ponies of any age, 40% conformation, 30% way of going, 30% manners
EQUIFEST IN HAND PIEBALD / SKEWBALD
Open in Hand Piebald / Skewbald stallion, mare, colt, filly or gelding, any age. The first three places
will also qualify for the BSPA Championships subject to their show rules & conditions
Classes may be divided according to entries.
Class 12 - In Hand Cobs (11:45)
The cob is a type rather than a breed, they should be short legged with good bone and capable of carrying an adult of substantial weight – open to any age
TGCA Qualifiers
Open to cobs including show and traditional. Stallion, mare or Gelding, 4 years and over.
Class 13 – In hand best RoR (12pm)
Thoroughbred mare or gelding, 4 years old & over, any height. Horses must have been raced in the
GB to be eligible to compete
Class 14 – In hand best sports horse (12:15pm)
Open to any age size or sex sport horse or pony
Class 15 – Fancy dress(12:30pm)
Best fancy dressed – Halloween Themed – As spooky as possible
In Hand Championship will be at 12:45pm
If you came 1st or 2nd in any in hand class you will be eligible for the championship
Main Arena / Ring 1 – Ridden – Will not start before 13:45pm
Class 16 - Ridden Best Turned Out - Any age and any horse. (13:45pm)
Open to any horse or pony Mare, gelding, stallion, colt or filly
Class 17 - Ridden Lead Rein and first ridden (14pm)
Ridden Lead Rein not exceeding 148, 4 years to 7 years and 8 years to 11 years (as on the 1st Jan 2024) 20% overall appearance, 60% efficiency, 20% ring craft - will be split if adequate entries.
First Ridden - A First-Ridden Show Pony or Show Hunter Pony is one which is suitable as the first pony for a child once he or she is able to ride without a lead rein.
Class 18 – Young rider Equitation (14:15pm)
Rider under 16 years old , 40% rider position and effectiveness, 40% individual show, 20% overall presentation.
Class 19 – Senior rider Equitation (14:30pm)
Rider over 16 years old , 40% rider position and effectiveness, 40% individual show, 20% overall presentation.
Class 20 – Ridden Hunter horses/ponies (14:45pm)
Open ridden hunter, mare or gelding, 4 years and over, any height, riders of any age.
Class 21 - Ridden M&M, Shetland, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Welsh, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Connemara, any native breed (15:30pm)

Class 23 - Ridden Veteran (15:15pm)
Horse or pony aged 15 or over, 50% Performance and Manners and 50% Age, Suppleness and Turnout.
Stallion, mare or gelding, 15 years old or over, any type or breed and any suitable sized rider
any breed and height.
Class 24 - Ridden Coloured (15:30pm)
Coloured, cremello, palomino, Dunn, roan and spotted, open to any age and height, 40% confirmation, 30% way of going, 30 manners, class may be split if enough entries
EQUIFEST RIDDEN PIEBALD / SKEWBALD
Open ridden Piebald / Skewbald stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old & over. Riders any age. The
first three places will also qualify for the BSPA Championship subject to their show rules &
conditions. Spurs may not be worn by any rider on a pony (not exceeding 153cms). No pony under
153cms will be ridden by the Judge.
