Horse Agility
Come and have some fun with your own horse at Horse Agility, think Dog Agility yet with your horse!
This is an unmounted (in hand) training session working on your handling skills which will lead on to working through (over, under and around) some horse agility style obstacles with the opportunity to go off and 'playtime' with your horse using the equipment.
Horse Agility is not only heaps of fun, it can also help with spookiness and nervousness by really increasing horse and handler confidence, it also has a wonderful way to build a better connection and relationship with your horse through understaning and using clearer cues with body language whilst tackling some fun yet tricky obstacles.
Sessions will last 1.5hrs and will be a max of 5 horses per group.
Open to horses and ponies over the age of 2yrs (must be able to lead safely in company)
It is recommended that horses wear a well fitting rope halter, Dually or just a plain headcollar (fluffy/heavily padded type headcollars are best avoided) with a long rope (between 10-13ft is ideal) Lunge lines are NOT recommended as they are too long and can prove hazardous.
12' lines will be available to hire on the day for a minimum hire fee of £1 each.
All handlers must wear a current standard riding helmet, gloves and suitable footwear.
Under 16's must have an adult supervisor.
This event is aimed to be a fun, non competitive taster session where everyone is warmly welcomed and encouraged no matter of age, ability or ambition.
Spaces are strictly limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
