Each pair will need to supply at least 1 person for equipment and 1 line steward for their heat.
Line Stewards will need to stand in the corners – 2 each side of the arena please – equipment for the top
line will also be here if you could please help by putting this in and out.
Trainers to stand outside the arena during races.
Tack checks are the responsibility of the pair. There will not be a briefing but for any queries
please ask one of the SC&SH Team.

Payment Details & Event Fees
Please Note: Entries are accepted and admission granted only subject to the following conditions, which deemed to have been
accepted by each competitor. Please ensure you read them fully and carefully.
1. LEGAL LIABILITY: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for
whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of the event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or
representative of these bodies, nor the landlord, his tenant accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury
or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other person or
property whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on the basis
2. HEALTH, SAFETY: The Organisers have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone
present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent
accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser, officials and stewards
3. Hats: When mounted, riders must wear hard hats conforming to the Pony Club rules for 2025.
4. Show jumping classes run under Pony Club Rules for Show Jumping 2025.
5. For all other classes, the Pony Club standards for tack and turnout apply.
6. On the day of the show, horses/ponies may only be ridden by riders competing in the show.
7. Dogs must be kept on short leads at all times.
8. Do not drop litter – use the bins provided or take your litter home.
9. Do not muck out your lorry/trailer onto the showground. Take your hay and muck home please.
10. In the event of cancellation of show, entry fees will be refunded, less £5.
11. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry without giving reason, cancel or alter the classes and times.
12. The organiser’s decision is final in all matters. Any objection must be made in writing within 30 minutes of the results
being announced and be accompanied by a deposit of £10.
13. Riders in lead rein classes may not compete off lead in non-lead rein classes. Lead reins to be attached to the noseband
only.
14. No lunging in the warm up arenas or lorry park, when outside show rings and warm-up areas ponies must be ridden
only at walk. Organisers reserve the right to eliminate any rider who breaks this rule or is seen to ride dangerously.
15. All class times are approximate and are given as a guide only. The organisers will endeavour to keep to time but it is
the responsibility of competitors to appear for classes when required.
16. Horses/Ponies must NOT be left unattended when tied up to lorries/trailers.
17. Rude or offensive language or behaviour will not be tolerated. Misuse of whip, spurs or bit will be deemed offensive
behaviour and the competitor will be eliminated from the whole competition.
18. INSURANCE: All non-Pony Club competitors/spectators are not covered by the Pony Club insurance & must have their
own Third-Party Liability Insurance..
19. HORSE VACCINATIONS: No horse/pony may take part unless it has a record of vaccination against equine influenza
which complies with the requirements set out in the Pony Club Vaccination Rules 2025
20. Spurs: Spurs may only be worn by Pony Club members if you have passed your C+ and/or Spurs Test and you must
provide proof of this to the organiser upon request. A yellow hat tag must be worn.
21. REASONABLE ADJUSTMENT: The Pony Club is committed to ensuring that, wherever possible, members are able to
access all aspects of the Branch and Centre activities we offer. Reasonable Adjustments are any actions that help to
reduce the effect of a disability or difficulty. Any requests for Reasonable Adjustment must be made by 2nd November
