Mini/Major Christmas Cracker - (£25 per pair) Mini / Major (Jumps for the mini course 60cm and Major course 90cm) Fun Showjumping class open to all competitors. Buddy up with your speediest friend or family member! The mini Horse and rider combination start in the arena, the major horse and rider combination wait in the change over box (which is a designate area within the arena). The mini horse/rider combination jump the first half of the course. Then speed into the change over box, once entered the box the signal is given for the major horse/rider combination to exit the box and jump the second half of the course. One round against the clock, with seconds added for a knockdown. Best combined time wins, lots of cheering and laughing guaranteed!!

"Reindeer & Husky Stakes" Horse and Hound (70cm horse and 30cm hound) One person jumps a round of show jumps on a horse/pony then they ride into a designated boxed area where they dismount, pass their horse to a waiting handler (who can be supplied) and collect their hound and continue on foot over the remaining course of jumps accompanied by their Hound (a hound can also be provided) Its judged on the fastest time wins Hounds can be provided.

The Mince Pie Accumulator (with joker) Accumulator (Jumps 70cm - 90cm. Joker 1m) Fun show jumping class open to all competitors. One round against the clock over a course of show jumps. Points acquired for each fence jumped clear, but no points awarded for knock down. Try the optional joker for bonus points. Fastest time with most points wins!

Grinch's 2 Fence Challenge (Start at 85cm) The two fence challenge is like a ‘Chase me Charlie’ but with two vertical fences. There is an optional oxer to jump when commencing each round, it does not count if you knock it down, it is included as an option to set you up for the other two jumps. The two countable fences increase in height In between each round until there is a winner. There are a maximum of 5 rounds. In the event of a tie all riders in the final round receive a prize.

All Classes - Bookings in advance only from £15 per entry.  Late entries £2 extra per entry on day. (Mini/Major Pairs & Pairs relay £25 per pair)

Terms & Conditions

SHOW JUMPING RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY - 

 

1.  Please access Highbrook via the Lyss Place entrance into the lorry park, signposted "Stables".

 

2. Horses/ponies must compete at their allocated time slot.

 

3. No horse/pony under the age of four years may compete, and only horses/ponies competing in the show may be ridden on the show ground.

 

4. HATS All riders MUST wear correctly fitting approved protective headgear conforming to VG1, ASTM, PAS 015, SEI, or SNELL E2001, carrying the BSI Kite Mark, which includes retaining harness secured to the shell at more than two points.  Must be worn and be correctly fastened AT ALL TIMES when mounted.

 

5. HAIR.  Riders must wear their hair no longer than shoulder length, neatly & firmly secured.

 

6.  Correct riding dress, including light coloured breeches or jodhpurs, must be worn.

 

7. All entries are pre-entry. Once classes are full/times published on website, entries will not be refundable under any circumstances unless we can sell your entries. We will operate a waiting list. 

 

8.  We ask you to park respectfully.  No tying up outside of lorries.

 

9.  Please declare to the collecting ring steward before commencing warm up.

 

10. All dogs must be kept on a lead.  

 

11. Please take your litter home with you and use the bins provided.  

 

 

12. Please leave the car park clear of all droppings and hay.  A barrow and tools are provided.
