Class 7 RIDDEN Open Horse (14’3 and above) including RoR
Open to riders of a suitable size & age to ride the horse they are mounted upon (all horses must be 4 years of age from 1st January of current year). Horse of any breed or type. RoR must have run either national hunt or on the flat. RoR will be judged separately if numbers warrant. Special rosette will be awarded to the highest placed RoR.

Please note: The Committee / organisers cannot be held responsible for competitors getting to the arena on time for classes.
Please keep an eye on the classes running, as once the gate to the ring is closed it will not be opened under any circumstance.
CHAMPIONSHIPS
Placings in all classes: 1st & 2nd, will go forward
for the main Championships
Juniors 17 yrs and under, will go forward for the Junior Championship. 2 highest placed juniors in mixed classes will also go forward for the Junior Championship.
Seniors 18 yrs +, will go forward for the Senior Championship.
Placings in all classes: 3rd & 4th. will go forward for the Novice Championship.
Champion & Reserve Champions from all Championships will go forward for the
Supreme Championships at the end of the day. Plus, a special rosette for the highest placed Concours D’Elegance of the day.
Judges will also have 4 x wild cards to hand out. If you get handed a wild card, this will instantly allow you to qualify for the Novice Championship. Keep your eyes peeled!

Rules & Conditions of Entry
1. This event will run under current BRC rules
2. The committee reserve the right to refuse entry or disqualify any animal that is deemed unfit to compete
3. The committee & land owners will not be responsible for any injuries arising from accidents to persons or animals, or theft of properties on the ground during the event.
4. The judge’s decision is final, the show committee reserves the right to alter or vary the schedule or to decline entry.
5. Hard Hats are always compulsory when mounted & for safety should comply with current standards. Those competing in Concours D’Elegance who chose not the wear hard hats must sign a disclaimer in secretary box before competing. If disclaimer is not signed, you will be instantly disqualified. Those under 17 years of age must always wear a hard hat.
6. All horses & ponies must be at least 4 years old & over to compete in ridden classes.
7. STALLIONS – any pony stallions not exceeding 138cm may NOT be ridden by anyone under the age of 12, stallions exceeding 138cm may NOT be ridden by anyone under the age of 14.
8. All foals being shown must be a minimum of 3 weeks old on the day of the show & mares with foals at foot must have obtained their fourth birthday.
9. All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Failure to do so will result in you being asked to leave the showground. All dog fouls must be picked up.
10. STRICTLY WALK ONLY in car park or to the ring as you will be asked to leave the showground with no refunds.
11. Strictly no parking of horseboxes/trailers in non-designated car park.
12. Objections must be handed to the Secretary IN WRITING within 15 minutes of the end of the class, together with a deposit of £20. Objections will be dealt with at the end of the day. In the event of a complaint, a height certificate may be required to be produced.
13. In the event of cancellation, entry fees will be refunded. This runs alongside the conditions if the entire show is cancelled.
14. Refunds will only be issued on production of a vet’s/doctor’s certificate.
15. All horses and ponies must be vaccinated, and spot checks of passports may take place on the day.
16. Bullying, harassment or foul language used towards judges, volunteers, committee members, other competitors and spectators will NOT be tolerated. Anyone who is seen or heard doing any of the above will be asked to leave the show ground immediately and could result in a permanent ban from all future FFRC run events.
17. Once the judge has instructed for the gate to be closed and judging is underway, the gate will not be reopened under any circumstance.
18. It is not down to the judges/organisers or stewards to make sure competitors are in the ring in time for their classes. Classes at this event will NOT be held.
19. Under no circumstances is warming up allowed in the holding area. This will be manned by a judge and steward at all times.
20. Pre judging of classes may take place in the holding area.
21. No in hand competitors will be allowed in the warm up area for safety reasons.
22. Classes that are open to in hand and ridden competitors: In-hand competitors will enter the ring first (this will be instructed by stewards). Stewards will explain what is expected of competitors before entering the ring. Ridden competitors will be let into the ring once the in-hand competitors have lined up. If entries warrant, these classes will be split. In the event they are, this will be announced over the PA system.
HEALTH & SAFETY
1. The committee has taken every reasonable precaution to ensure the health, safety & welfare of those attending the show. Members of the public & competitors are equally responsible for ensuring they do not put others at risk & that they cooperate with the organisers in compliance with Health & Safety Legislation.
2. In the interest of safety please ensure that Horses, Trailers, Lorries & all tack are left secure when unattended.
3. The onus is on every rider who suffers a fall or anyone who suffers an injury whilst in the showground to report the fall/injury to the show secretary and be checked over by the First Aid officer.
4. Traders associated with & the permission of FFRC & CCR ONLY to be welcome on the show ground.
