Terms and Conditions of Competition Entry.
Responsibility: Organisations hiring the facilities at Alps Court Equestrian are responsible for the actions and activities of gtheir competitors. It is the organisers’ responsibility to enforce these rules.
Smoking: Alps Court Equestrian is a no smoking site.
Insurance: It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure they have the appropriate insurance and it is assumed that this insurance is in place. Before using these facilities, you must ensure that you have adequate insurance for you and your horse.
Children: All riders under 18 years of age must have parental consent. A responsible adult must accompany all riders under the age of 18. All children under the age of 12 years must be under adult supervision at all times. Under NO circumstances should they be allowed to play near machinery, other equipment or haylage bales on Alps Court Equestrian grounds.
PPE/Safety Wear: All hirers should wear the required safety wear and equipment as required under the appropriate regulations (e.g. current standard riding hats – PAS015,EN1384 and back protectors) and will be assumed to do as required. Body protectors are allowed under ABWE rules. Riding Hats at ALL times when riding (and is advised at all times whilst handing horses), NO EXCEPTIONS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
Appropriate footwear and riding coats/clothing should be worn when dealing with horses and riding.
The Arena: Horses/ponies are to enter and leave via the doors on the left-hand side and not the doors on their right-hand side, where people spectate and the toilet facilities are.
The arena must be left in a clean and tidy condition. All jumps and poles must be put back in their allocated space.
Equipment breakages are the responsibility of the hirer and will be charged for. Breakages must be reported before leaving.
Surfaces: All surfaces must be cleared of droppings during and after use and placed in the wheelbarrow by the entrance doors.
No stakes, poles or other spike implements should be placed into the surface.
No hay, haylage or horse feed to be taken into the school.
Car Park: Ensure all droppings are picked up and that litter is put into the bins provided. No horses/ponies are to be left tied to trailers/lorries unattended.
Do NOT tie haynets outside lorries/trailers.
All riders take part at their own risk, Alps Court Equestrian will not accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horse, pony, riders, spectators or any other persons or property whatsoever.
Unfortunately, we now have a no dog policy in place.
All equines are required to be annually vaccinated against Equine Influenza and must have had the first two vaccinations before attending the premises. Passports will be randomly checked. The last vaccination must be at least 7 days prior to the event. We at Alps Court Equestrian reserve the right to refuse entry to the facilities to any horse/pony that displays any clinical signs of disease and they will therefore be asked to leave the premises with immediate effect.
Cancellation terms: Hourly hire bookings – 24 hours notice required. Event bookings – 72 hours notice required.
Entry constitutes an agreement to be bound by and adhere to these rules.
