Show Information

  • Method for submitting the music will be CD and must be clearly labelled with: Rider Name, Horse Name, Class / test level.
  • If you require times early, late, or together please clearly state these requests when entering and these will be met where possible. Changes to times will not be made if these are not requested on the entry form.
  • All clubs are required to provide helpers in accordance with teams/individuals as per BRC requirements.

·        The decisions of the judges and/or organisers are final. Objection must be made to the show secretary in writing within 30 minutes of closing the class, accompanied by a deposit of £10 which may be refunded.

·        For Winter qualifiers and onwards, BRC has introduced a ‘competition pass’. To compete and qualify for BRC championships, all entrants must have a valid club membership AND a valid competition pass, which can be purchased via the BRC Sport80 portal. Any member competing at a qualifier without both club membership and a competition pass will be disqualified.

·        It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria, the eligibility table can be found here: https://www.bhs.org.uk/british-riding-clubs/brchandbook/

·        Horses can only compete in 2 consecutive classes (ie Prelim & Novice 0 Points, or Novice & Elementary)

·        All riding hats must have a visible current BRC/BE/PC pink hat tag

·        A body protector is not mandatory for this competition.

·        Riders wearing Exo-Body cages, in which the BETA Level 3 2009 Purple Label, must inform the official steward/organiser before the event.

·        Please ensure that you are willing and able to compete at the Championships prior to entering.

  • All competitors should enter with the expectation they will cover their own championships fees. KRC's reimbursement of these fees will be at the discretion of the committee standing at the time of the Championship.
  • All horses must have valid and up to date flu vacs in accordance of rule G7 of the BRC rulebook; (no boosters within 6 days of competition). If you are unsure, please contact krctamsyn@gmail.com
  • With immediate effect bib numbers will be permitted in all BRC competitions. This will allow competitors to print their own numbers if they do not have bridle numbers for dressage and SJ competitions to save organisers having to provide them.
  • Microchips are compulsory by law from 1 October 2020 in England. You will be required to have your horse microchipped as per the England legislation.
  • It is advised that hair should be neatly secured and should not hang lower than the shoulder line when standing normally. Any item of jewellery or alternative medical treatment wrist bands should be covered up by clothing or gloves, if they cannot be removed and are worn at the riders' own risk.
  • Horses will only be permitted to compete in two individual championship classes (direct entry, warm up classes and pairs not included).  Competitors that qualify the same horse in three individual championship classes will be required to choose which classes they will contest at the championships.
  • In pairs dressage to music the horses and riders will be expected to ride together, side by side, for at least 80% of the test.
