TROPHIES AWARDED TO THE HIGHEST PLACED MEMBER IN EACH CLASS Please note, to ensure horse welfare, only a maximum of 4 classes per horse will be accepted, which can include only 3 jumping classes
All Showjumping classes will be run as a BS Single Phase Competition; a course in two parts with second part timed. All will jump against the clock immediately after their first round, even with faults, unless eliminated. Exception to BS rules: 3 refusals for elimination. Winner is the rider with the fewest (or zero) faults with the fastest time in the second section. The fences in the timed section may be up to 5cm higher.
Payment Details & Event Fees
Entries in advance. You can enter using a Secure Online Entry System Entries can be taken on the day, cash or cheque Payment is secure and it goes directly to New Forest Riding Club. You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment. Clear round £5 cash on the day All other entry fees: Members £12 a class. Non-Members £15 a class.
Rosettes to 6th Place
Trophies and Best Member Rosettes Highest placed NFRC member if placed in the first 6 will gain a member rosette and a Trophy to be collected from the rosette / trophy tent on the day. See also rule 8 and 10. Please wear a White Armband (Seniors) or a Green Armband (Juniors).
Members’ Points League A points system for members (6 for 1st place down to 1 for 6th place) will operate for All classes. Points will be awarded according to the placing achieved. The horse/pony and rider/handler combination gaining the highest number of points in each group will be awarded the “Championship Trophy” which will be presented at the AGM
Entry fees will not be refunded but can be transferred between classes and NFRC events.
1. The Club and Committee accept no responsibility for any loss, damage or accident to spectators, competitors, competitor's animals or property, however caused, nor shall any member admit responsibility on behalf of the Club. 2. Schooling or cutting whips will not be allowed in any jumping event. Riders who over‐ ride or maltreat their mount will be required to leave the showground and forfeit all entry fees. 3. The decisions of the Judges and show organisers are final. 4. All mounted persons and handlers under 16 years old MUST wear a helmet to the current standard outlined in the BRC handbook G22.2. Body protectors are not compulsory but strongly advised, if worn they must be up to current standard in rule G22.3. 5. If a helmet is to become dislodged whilst competing the rider will be disqualified. If a rider is to fall, in accordance with rule 7.6.6 states that if a rider falls at any BRC event, they must be checked over by the paramedic before re-mounting. This includes the lorry park, warm up and arenas. Please do not be surprised if you are sent to the paramedic if you fall off. 6. All riders to be properly dressed whilst mounted, at all times whilst on the showground. Jackets must be worn during the classes unless at the Judge’s discretion when shirts with shoulders covered will be permitted. 7. Entry fees will only be refunded on the production of a medical or vet’s certificate. 8. Rider/Handler must be a fully paid up member before 01/05/2023 to qualify for best members’ trophies. 9. Complaints to be made in writing within 15 minutes of the alleged incident, together with a £20.00 deposit, which will only be refunded if the complaint is upheld. 10. Trophies remain the property of the New Forest Riding Club and must be signed for and returned cleaned and in good condition by the stated date. 11. The Committee reserves the right to cancel classes if the number of entries is insufficient. 12. If the show is cancelled for any reason, refunds will be subject to a deduction to cover administration expenses. 13. Competitors entering classes that coincide do so at their own risk. No refunds will be given. Late competitors will only be admitted at the Judge’s discretion. 14. Dogs must be kept on a lead (non-extending type) at all times. 15. Anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult. 16. Please pick up all droppings, straw, hay and take rubbish home to help keep the site clean.
HEALTH AND SAFETY: The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must obey the instructions of the organisers, officials and stewards and take all reasonable precautions themselves to avoid and prevent accidents occurring.
FIRST AID: Will be provided in line with the prepared Risk Assessment. Paramedic in attendance. Vet on call only, please have your own vet contact availble also.
