CLUB SHOWJUMPING – OPEN TO RIDING CLUB MEMBERS AND NON MEMBERS (RULES BELOW)
Class 201 40cm speed 250mpm – all clear rounds within the time share 1 st place entry fee £13
Class 202 50 cm speed 250mpm – all clear rounds within the time share 1 st place entry fee £13
Class 203 60 cm speed 250mpm – all clear rounds within the time share 1 st place entry fee £13
OPEN SHOWJUMPING CLASSES - Run under BS Rules
SINGLE PHASE All combinations not eliminated in the first part of the course will continue into the timed section. Fastest double clear wins.
Class 101 – 60cm Single Phase competition 300 mpm entry fee £20
Class 102 – 70cm Single Phase competition 300 mpm entry fee £20
Class 103 – 80cm Single Phase competition 325 mpm entry fee £20
Class 104 – 90cm Single Phase competition 325 mpm entry fee £20
Class 105 – 100cm Single Phase competition 325 mpm entry fee £20
We will endeavour to ensure that competitors times are as close together as possible but please be aware that if you are travelling with another competitor doing separate classes then there may be a longer wait. Please make note on your entry if you are travelling with another competitor to allow us to do the times as accurately as possible.
Please note – These open classes run alongside a BRC qualifier. Classes 101-105 are not open to BRC combinations entered into the qualifying classes except where they have already completed their BRC classes
A PARAMEDIC FEE OF £5 WILL BE ADDED FOR EACH RIDER

The course will be a simple with approximately 8 jumping efforts with minimal fillers and a generous time.
NON RIDING CLUB MEMBERS
Those not wishing to qualify may be led.
All riders may have assistance in the ring (1 person only). If not being led the assistant may move around the arena with the competitor but most not jump the fences. Coaching & encouragement around the course is permitted.
If the judge feels that it is unsafe to carry on, they will ring the bell. There will be a generous time allowed after which the judge will ring the bell and ask you to leave. All clear rounds within the time allowed will share 1 st place.
These classes have no eligibility restrictions on either horse or rider but in the spirit of the competition should not be entered by combinations capable of competing at 70cm or higher.
RIDING CLUB MEMBERS WISHING TO QUALIFY – CHAMPIONSHIP AT BURY FARM 6 TH SEPT 2025
Those wishing to qualify must belong to an affiliated Riding Club at the time of the qualifier. To qualify for the finals, competitors must complete two clear rounds at the relevant height to gain qualification. You will then need to record this on a qualification form which are available for purchase https://brc.bhs.org.uk/select within 2 weeks of first qualifying round.
Those wishing to qualify must be clear at 2 shows within the qualifying period. All clear rounds will share 1 st place.
Combinations wishing to qualify must not have competed at a BRC Championship with a jumping element in the previous three years. Onus is on the rider to ensure compliance with the eligibility criteria to maintain the spirit of the competition. Riders may move up a height during the qualification period. At finals combinations may only compete at two consecutive heights. i.e. if they start out in the 40cm, then move up to 50cm and 60cm and qualifies at all three heights, they may only compete in the 50cm and 60cm classes at the championships.
One assistant per rider is permitted. Where an assistant enters the arena to help a competitor, they may move around the ring and be alongside the horse but must not jump the fences. Coaching & encouragement around the course is permitted
DRESS RULES FOR ALL COMPETITORS IN CLUB CLASSES
Hats to current BRC standard – please see the handbook - Correct riding clothes must be worn when mounted but competition dress is not required.
Spurs are not permitted, and whips must be padded if carried.
