Show Information

 

Show Rules:

The overall winner will be decided by deducting any show jumping penalties from the Competitor’s dressage score. In the event of equal marks the time in the show jumping section will decide the higher placing. All classes are open.

This event is being run under current British Dressage rules for the dressage phase and British Show Jumping rules for the show jumping phase.

All dressage tests are ridden in outdoor arena. Show jumping classes will be held in the indoor arena. Warm up will be either in one of the arenas with the option to use the field arena at your own discretion. 

Entries must be received the Thursday before each competition. Entries cannot be transferred or cancelled from this date. Entries are to be completed via MyRidingLife. If you have any questions regarding entries please contact the Centre by email: mojca@theavoncentre.org.uk

Times will be uploaded to MyRdingLife on the Friday before each competition from 2pm.

Bridle/Saddle cloth numbers are to be worn on both sides of the horse.  Please print/make your own allocated rider number or use your number disks. Numbers will be allocated with times. This must be worn at all times and must be easily readable.

Competitors must wear correct dress, footwear and hard hat. Hard hats must conform to current safety standards with a 3 point harness and chin straps must be fastened while mounted.

Competitors under 14 must be supervised by an adult. A qualified first aider will be in attendance.

All horses are to be vaccinated to date and not be carrying any infectious diseases. Horses or ponies must be at least 4 years of age to compete.

The organisers reserve the right to cancel classes, limit entries or amend rules at their discretion.

Terms & Conditions

 

Horses must not be unattended tied to the outside of vehicles. Droppings must be cleared from all areas. All rubbish must be disposed of in the bins provided. Lorries/trailers are not to be skipped out onto the car park, again please use skips and bins provided.

Any verbal or physical abuse of staff, volunteers, members, competitors, officials, spectators or animals will not be tolerated and the organiser reserves the right to ask any person deemed to be behaving inappropriately to leave the showground.

Directions of any steward or representative of ARC must be followed, failure to do so may result in elimination and / or being asked to leave a class / the show ground. No refund of entry fees will be made.

For all competitions, the judge’s decision is final. Objections must be handed to an official in writing within 15 minutes of the end of a class with a £20 deposit. No refund of entry fees unless accompanied by a doctors or vets note.

Results will be posted on the website within two weeks of each competition.  Please do not request them prior to this.

There may be photography or filming going on at our competitions and it is your responsibility to let us know if you do not want to be photographed or filmed whilst at our event.

The Avon Riding Centre staff, volunteers, landowners or anyone acting on their behalf will not be held responsible for any loss/accident to persons, animals or property. Riders and spectators enter at their own risk. All accidents must be reported and an accident report completed at the TAC’s office.

Dogs are welcome onsite but must be kept on a lead at all times. Waste is to be disposed of in bins provided.

 

Limit of Legal Liability

Competitors enter and compete at their own risk and save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of TAC’s its owners, servants or agents they agree not to claim for injury, loss or damage caused to or suffered by any person, horse or pony or any other property including vehicles in connection with or arising from any activity at TAC whether or not the said injury, loss or damage is caused by the negligence of the owners or any other person or thing on the MPEC land.
