  • Eligibility: For all RoR Competition Registered horses that have qualified and for riders aged 15 years and over at 1st January 2025

     This RoR Regional Championship event is a qualifier for the RoR National Dressage Championships 2026 which will be held at the Jockey Club RoR National Championships at Aintree in August 2026.                                                        The Championship classes will run and judged under BD rules, they will however, also be affiliated to RoR only and no BD grading points will be awarded.

  • Online entries only. Entries close 7 days before the competition. Late entries subject to a £3 late fee and only if space up to final close of entries at 9am Friday 26th September 2025.
  • Payment is secure and it goes directly to West Wilts EC.

Prize Information

Rosettes for 1st - 6th place for warm up classes.

RoR will provide all Championships Finalist Rosettes and all Championships place rosettes, please see Special Classes section for further information regarding RoR prizes and rosettes.

Special Classes

 Regional qualification criteria

To qualify, riders must submit two score sheets for the level at the required minimum percentage or above from affiliated competitions, unaffiliated competitions or both. Score sheets must include the registered racing name of the horse, have full details re date and venue and must be signed by the Judge. The qualification is for horse/rider, no substitutes (horse or rider) allowed. Horse/rider combinations are allowed to compete in two classes so long as they have submitted the relevant qualifying score sheets.

INTRO Championship

  • Restricted (min 63% x two to qualify) combinations not to have competed at prelim level or above nor won any RoR Winter or National Championships at intro level.
  • Open (min 65% x two to qualify) combinations not to have competed at novice or above.

PRELIM Championship

  • Restricted (min 63% x two to qualify) combinations not to have competed at novice level or above or above nor won any RoR Winter or National Championships at prelim level.
  • Open (min 65% x two to qualify) open to all.

NOVICE Championship

  • Restricted (min 62% x two to qualify) combinations not to have competed at elementary level or above or above nor won any RoR Winter or National Championships at novice level.
  • Open (min 64% x two to qualify) open to all.

ELEMENTARY Championship

  • Restricted (min 60% x two to qualify) combinations not to have competed at medium level or above nor won any RoR Winter or National Championships at elementary level.
  • Open (min 62% x two to qualify) open to all.

MEDIUM Championship

  • Restricted (min 60% x two to qualify) combinations not to have competed at advanced medium level or above nor won any RoR Winter or National Championships at medium level.
  • Open (min 62% x two to qualify) open to all.

Prize Structure for RoR Championship Classes: Rosettes to 6th place and a finalist rosette to each competitor. Prizes in kind may also be available. Competitors, in accordance with BD rules, must attend prize givings, mounted or unmounted at the organiser’s discretion, or ensure that they are represented, when requested by the organiser. Failure to attend (unless agreed with the organiser) may result in the forfeit of rosettes or other awards. Correct competition dress should be worn for prize givings, whether mounted or not.

1 – 5 starters

1st Prize - £30 voucher

Useful information

  • The championship classes will run and be judged under BD rules, they will however, be affiliated to RoR only and no BD grading points will be awarded. All championships tests bar intro will be in long arena format where possible.
  • Combinations can take part in any regional championship but must submit the relevant score sheets for each.
  • Score sheets from online competitions, PC, BE and FSM are not accepted for qualification for this series.
  • All correspondence and score sheets to be sent by email only to Anne Parkinson, aparkinson@ror.org.uk
  • Submissions via personal messaging platforms will not be accepted.

Refreshments:

 Our canteen will be open for hot and cold food, drinks and snacks. 

Withdrawals/Refunds
  • All competitions are pre-entry only, no refund or transfer is possible after initial close of entries date as published on the schedule.
  • All withdrawals to be made via e-mail please.
  • The booking fee is non-refundable in all cases.
  • For withdrawals before the published closing date refunds of the Entry Cost can be made less £3.00 Admin Fee alternatively, we can offer a free transfer to another event.
  • No refunds or transfers can be made during the late entry period unless we are able to replace it from a wait list. 
  • Please see relevant rule books for additional policies in place for British Dressage, British Show Jumping and British Eventing.
  • Abandonment Policy In the case of abandonment of a competition for any reason we will offer a free transfer towards an alternative competition – or a refund minus a £3.00 admin fee. The booking fee is non-refundable in all cases.

Terms & Conditions
  • All entries and payments to be made online.
  • ALL horses must not be under current investigation for infectious diseases including, for example, Equine Herpes Virus (EHV), Equine Influenza, Strangles.
  • All Horses must not have been in contact with and is not kept on the same premises as a horse known to have or be under investigation for the neurological form of EHV, Equine Influenza, Strangles or Equine Viral Arteritis. 
  • All activity will be in accordance with the advice from the relevant national body.
  • Please keep your time on site to a minimum, please don’t arrive more than 40 minutes before your test/round/ride time and leave the site as soon as it is safe for your horse to travel.
  • Please park considerately, a safe distance from each other. Current recommendations are 10m apart if there is tying up on both sides of your box; 5m where tying up is on one side, and 3m apart if no tying up is used.
  • HORSES/PONIES MUST NOT BE LEFT TIED UP OUTSIDE UNATTENDED.
  • All competitors will be limited to 4 supporters per horse. No other person(s) should be in attendance.
  • Please do not park in front of or block access to the loading bay.
  • PLEASE PRINT/MAKE YOUR OWN ALLOCATED RIDER NUMBER OR USE YOUR NUMBER DISK. NUMBERS WILL BE ALLOCATED WITH TIMES. THIS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES AND MUST BE EASILY READABLE.
  • NO spectators or filming are allowed in any of the warm up or competition arenas. Please use viewing areas.
  • Warm up time may be limited by numbers allowed in arena to an estimated 30 – 40 minutes.
  • You are expected to ride on your allocated times. If you do not do so, you risk being unable to compete.
  • All scores/results will be published online at the end of the day.
  • DRESSAGE SHEETS - Please email us for a copy or leave an A5 Large Letter Stamped Addressed HARD BACKED Envelope for rosettes or an ordinary SAE for dressage sheets only.
  • PLEASE CLEAR UP ANY DROPPINGS OR HAY IN THE LORRY PARK.
  • Dogs are allowed but MUST be kept on a short lead at all times. No Exceptions.
  • Although every effort will be made to ensure the safety of participants, horse riding is a very high-risk sport and therefore, West Wilts Equestrian Centre and its staff cannot accept responsibility for any accident, damage or injury to horses, owners or other persons or property.
