Show Information

Entries Close: Thursday before the competition.
Late entries are subject to availability, and an additional £5 fee per class.

For all Classes – results are combined for each section and placings decided based on the percentage scored. Riders can do multiple tests in each of the PYO classes (entry fee for each) but only the highest score counts towards placings, unless there are high entries and we split the class.

Juniors & Seniors
Juniors: Juniors riding ponies or horses must not have attained their 17th birthday before the first day (dressage warm up day) of the Trailblazers Championship Finals. Seniors: Once a competitor has attained their 17th birthday on or after the first day (dressage warm up day) of the Trailblazers Championship Finals they may only compete in senior competitions.

Restricted & Open
RESTRICTED: The combination must not have scored above 67% at the current level or 63% or above at any higher level at any event. The combination must not have BD points at the current level or above. The rider or horse must not have scored above 67% at a higher level individually. OPEN: Open to all regardless of previous competitive status. The results will be combined if there are 14 or fewer competitors, and for qualification purposes.

Prize Information

PRIZEGIVING: Class presentations will take place immediately after each class. Rosettes: to sixth place in each class.

Special Classes

All classes are eligible for Trailblazers Second Round and The Sunshine Tour Qualification.
TRAILBLAZERS 2ND ROUND CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFIER For full details of the Trailblazers Championships please visit: http://www.trailblazerschampionships.com/competitions/dressage.php 7 qualify in each section at 2nd Round Qualifiers, no minimum % score is required. There will be separate qualification sections for seniors and juniors.

Terms & Conditions

1. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or British Riding Club nor any agent, employee, or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land , cars/ lorries/trailers, their contents and accessories or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis. 2. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards. 3. All non Riding Club competitors are not covered by British Riding Club's insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Tumpy Green Branch of British Riding Clubs and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non-Members and their insurance will not cover them. RULES AND NOTICES 1. Horse/Rider substitutions allowed – please tell the Secretary before the competiting. Class changes must be made before times are published. 2. Pre-entries are essential as entries will be limited. If you miss the closing date please email the Entries Secretary for available spaces before 10am on the Friday before the competition. 3. Closing date for entries – Thutsday before the competition. Withdrawal refunds given on receipt of a relevant doctor/vet certificate received by the Entries Secretary within a week of the competition (please enclose an s.a.e.) minus an admin fee.  4. If the show is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, entry fees will be help in credit for a future event. Any refund will be subject to an administration fee. 5. TIMES WILL BE GIVEN – please see My Riding Life. Competitors may be asked to compete slightly before their given time – please be ready. 6. Warm-up Arena – the number of competitors may be restricted; please obey the steward’s instructions as to when you can use the warm-up. No entry to the warm-up arena before entries are paid in full. 7. Children must not ride in the warm-up arena without an accompanying adult. 8. Each combination may only compete once in any given class. Stallions are allowed only with prior permission from the Entries Secretary and must wear stallion discs and ribbons. All horse/ponies must be at least 4 years old on day of competition. 9. Turnout for ALL riders and horses should be as in the British Dressage Rulebook 2025. Please contact the Entries Secretary BEFORE the show day for any queries re dress/turnout. 10. Any abuse of horses/ponies, officials, other competitors or members of the public will not be tolerated and those found doing so will be asked to leave the venue with no compensation and may be reported to the relevant authority. 11. Judges’ decision is final. Any objection must be handed to the Show Secretary in writing with a £20 deposit (which will be forfeited if the objection is not upheld) within 15 minutes of the incident and BEFORE the prize-giving for that class. 12. INSURANCE; please ensure that you have adequate/appropriate insurance for rider, horse, property and third party. 13. PHOTOGRAPHS: by entering this competition you are agreeing to be photographed whilst competing; these photographs may be used for future publicity. If you do not wish to be photographed please tell the photographer on entering the arena, before you enter. 14. Participants attend at their own risk; neither the Committee nor Tumpy Green Competition Centre will be liable for any loss, damage or accident to horses, riders, property or other persons. 15. No horses/ponies should be left tied to the outside of trailers/lorries without supervision. Please clear any muck/rubbish and do not leave on the lorry park. Please be aware that there is no gate between the lorry park and the main road. All hay must be collected and removed from the lorry park. 16. The show will be run as per British Dressage Rules 2025. 17. Please obey all signage and any requests from our staff and volunteers.
