Example for Ridden Display in the riding club and pony club pony classes 1A and 1B:- Leave line up, walk to judge, halt, acknowledge. Walk out and proceed to trot 1 figure of eight, then canter a 20 metre circle on each rein. Walk back to the judge, halt and salute. Return to line up. Example of ridden display for showing classes :-leave line up, walk to judge and halt, acknowledge. walk out and proceed to trot away from judge complete a figur of eight with a canter transition on each rein, trot walk and halt salute to judge and return to line up.

The organiser has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the Health and Safety of everyone present. For these to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all the officials and stewards. • The judge’s decision is final. • Any objections to be made to the secretary in writing within 30 minutes of the incident and to be accompanied by a £10 deposit, returned if the objection is sustained. Entry fees will only be refunded up to the close of entry date on production of a veterinary or medical certificate. • The committee and organisers reserve the right to: cancel any class, divide any class, alter the advertised time, and refuse any entry, without stating the reason, and limit late entries. • Save for death or personal injury caused by negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom in law they are responsible, neither the organisers of these competitions or the Kent Border Pony Club nor the owners of the competition venue except any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land or any persons whatsoever or their property whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or any other way whatsoever. • Horses/ponies are not to be left unattended, Horse not to be left unattended when tied up to trailers or lorries in the car park. • Please do not leave any rubbish, droppings etc. on the showground. • The judges reserve the right to eliminate any unfit or unsound horse/pony or any competitors using abusive or aggressive behaviour and they may be asked to leave the showground. Correctly fitting headgear with a permanent fitted, non-detachable retaining harness secured to the shell at more than 3 points and boots with heels must be worn by anyone mounted on the showground. Headgear must conform to the current BHS safety standards and must be either PAS 015: 2011, VG1 01.0404 (2014-12 with, Snell E2016, ASTM-F1163 2004, AS/NZS 3838 2006 onwards standard and is mandatory for pony club members. Back protectors are strongly recommended. • Correct riding/in-hand attire must be worn whilst in rings. • All horses being ridden must be ridden wearing full tack including a bridle and saddle. • Ridden horses and ponies must be 4 years old or over. All ponies/horses must be halter broken and lead at all times/no foals at foot. • Any Pony Club member riding a Stallion must obtain permission from their DC. • WARNING: HORSES AND PONIES ARE DANGEROUS – PLEASE KEEP CHILDREN UNDER CONTROL AND SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES. • All horses and ponies to have been vaccinated within the last 12 months, please ensure you bring passports, random checks will take place.
