Ridden Champion & Reserve
1) The Organisers, nor any of the show officers, servants or assistants shall be in any way responsible or accountable for any
loss, injury or damages that may happen (for any cause or circumstances whatever) to exhibitors or their servants or
assistants, or any other member of the public, to any animal or property, or to any vehicle brought onto the Showground,
or on premises used in conjunction with the show, or while entering or leaving the same or otherwise for anything else in
conjunction with, or arising out of, or attributable to the show.
2) The Committee reserve the right to refuse an entry without giving a reason whatsoever
3) Any objections must be lodged, in writing, with the Secretary immediately with a deposit of £20.00 which will be returned if
the complaint is upheld.
4) The Committee reserve the right to change the judges, the decision of the judges & their interpretation of the rules will be
final. A judge may require that a pony which constitutes a danger to leave the ring.
5) All entries MUST be registered, or be eligible for registration, with their eligible breed society. All ponies entering Medal
classes must be registered/eligible for registration with Welsh Pony and Cob society.
6) In the event of the Show being cancelled for whatever reason, the Committee reserves the right to keep a portion of monies
7) Exhibitors are NOT permitted to enter an animal in any class which is to be judged by a person who had, or has, any financial
interest in the animal or been connected with it in any way. The Committee reserve the right to amalgamate or divide classes,
if deemed appropriate. The Committee reserve the right to alter or amend the conditions. Exhibitors are requested not to
bring a coughing horse to the show and may be requested to remove any such animal.
8) Fall of horse/rider in any class will result in disqualification (from that class).
9) All riders must have attained their 3rd birthday and the SCWP&CA recommend that a parent or guardian be available at the
ringside when children are riding in classes off the lead rein.
10) Correctly fastened hard hats to the current recommended British Standard are to be worn at all times when mounted on
any part of the Show ground and although not a rule it is recommended by the SCWP&CA that all competitors 18 years and
under wear a correctly fastened hard hat when showing in hand.
11) EXHIBITORS MUST ENSURE THAT THIRD PARTY INSURANCE COVERS THEM ADEQUATELY.
12) Barren mares not to have reared a live foal in the current year.
13) Novice Ridden classes entrants to be shown in a suitable snaffle bridle.
14) Riders of stallions must have attained their 12th birthday before 1st January of the current year when riding small breeds
and for large breeds riders must have attained their 14th birthday before 1st January. All ridden stallions must wear a stallion
disc.
15) LITTER – We would like to ask that everyone clear their own rubbish away. Black waste bins will be sited around the
Showground. It would be sincerely appreciated if this was adhered to.
16) No horse or pony will be allowed to be chased, bagged or rattled outside the ring or by anyone standing at the ringside whilst
the animal is in a class. The Committee will not tolerate any dangerous behaviour and it will result in the culprits being barred
from future events.
17) Exhibitors need to be ready and waiting for their classes, SCWPCA accept no responsibility what so ever for Exhibitors missing
classes.
