Starting Times:
30 min slots available from 0800 - 1800 daily (max of 5 horses per session for private bookings). Additional horses can be added from the SUNDRY ITEMS TAB (add x 2 if booking an additional horse for an hour) Warm up & cool down is included in the 30 minute booking timeslot - should you arrive late you will not be able to stay over the booked session time. You must arrive no more than 20 minutes before your allocated time and leave no more than 20 minutes after you have finished.

Castle Copse Equestrian has opened its Grass Cross Country Course & Working Hunter Course and we have a full set of show jumps in the 25x60 sand/fibre arena. We have over 60 fences across 14 acres, including water / ditches / steps & a bank. The Working Hunter Course is also on grass, and you get access to both with your arena hire as well as the show jumps in the arena. Our XC fences range from 30cm - 80 cm, and our WH fences are fully adjustable, so something for everyone. We welcome trainers onsite. Please do not follow your satnav to get to us, as it sends you via roads suitable for cars but not for lorries / trailers. Please ONLY use the following directions https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:EU:ab673cf7-2357-42c5-8e56-baf8e44d9ecf At busy times we will be ensuring the next person has arrived before the previous people leave, so no one meets another lorry / trailer on the lane. Please check with me before you leave here after your session so I can check no one due at the same time. Payment Details & Event Fees
All Bookings & payment in advance only. Payment is secure and it goes directly to Castle Copse Equestrian. You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment. COST: £15 per 30 mins, each horse thereafter up to a maximum of 5 is £10 per additional horse per 30 mins
Stabling Information: Yes
We have available for hire both overnight stays or day stables. Please contact me directly if you would like to arrange stabling on bookings@castlecopse.co.uk or message me through the Castle Copse Equestrian Facebook page.
No refunds will be given - as standard, credit transfers will be provided if cancellation is at least 48hrs notice
Rules of facility hire - Please arrive no more than 20 mins before the start of your session and leave within 20 mins after you session ends. This is to help us ensure no one meets another lorry / trailer on Fernden Lane coming the other way.
- No need to ring the bell when you arrive at the gates. Pull the metal slider across to open the gates. Please pin back the gates to prevent them blowing shut as you come through. The car park is directly in front of you.
- Please do not hang hay nets up outside trailers / lorries.
- WELL BEHAVED DOGS ARE ALLOWED ON SITE IF ON LEADS AT ALL TIMES AND UNDER CONTROL. Anyone letting their dogs off the lead will be asked to leave. Please ensure you pick up after your dog.
- All droppings, bedding and / or litter must be picked up from the surfaced cross country track, working hunter course, arena and car park or incur a £5 fine. There is a muck skip and wheelbarrow by the side of the school and another on the track. No mucking out of lorries / trailers anywhere on site
- Please report immediately any defects or problems with the jumps or if you break any flags or lose a horseshoe. Any damage to equipment must be reported and will be charged.
- Any accident must be reported immediately and a record made in writing together with the names and contact details of any witness before departing
- When you arrive on site please park in the car park and do not venture into other areas of the yard.
- Transport and equipment is brought to site entirely at the owner's risk..
- If you use the working hunter fences, please ensure no poles or cups are left on the ground. and that the jumps are up correctly
- Strictly NO LUNGING
Castle Copse Arena Disclaimer - By submitting a booking, you are accepting that you ride the course entirely at your own risk and accept that no liability or blame will be attached to the organisers (Castle Copse Equestrian) or landowners (Selene Regan & Gordon Knight). The hirer accepts that by submitting a booking for the course hire these conditions become the basis of a contract between, the Event organisers and landowners and agree to comply entirely with the rules set by the Event organisers whilst using the Arena Eventing Course.
- Our grass cross country & working hunter course are available to hire for a minimum hire time of 30 minutes. There is a maximum of 5 horses permitted on the course during any one hire session.
- Use of the course is entirely at the hirer’s own risk.
- Hats must be worn at all times when mounted, with the chinstrap fastened. PLEASE NOTE NO HATS WITH ANY TYPE OF PEAK WILL BE PERMITTED FOR XC
- Back protectors and non peaked hats must be worn on the Cross Country Course.
- Use of the course must be done so in a controlled manner, respecting the take-off and landing areas, and general ground condition. We reserve the right to request anyone stop using the course immediately if we feel they are doing so in an uncontrolled or dangerous manner and in such cases no refunds shall be given
- For biosecurity measures, at no time must you enter the stable barns or other restricted areas. Please do not make contact with any of the other horses whilst at the premises.
- Please ensure that all animals engaged in the event or permitted to attend are in good health and are up to date with vaccinations (for example: flu & tetanus).
- Please leave the facilities in a clean and tidy state.
- Please park your vehicles considerately and be aware of access and other users of the facilities.
- If there are any breakages, damage or concerns about the facilities during your period of hire, we must be notified immediately. Any damage or breakages caused to the property or equipment shall be charged to the hirer at the new replacement value plus any carriage costs.
- The Event organiser and landowner will not be liable for any damage caused whatsoever to vehicles, animals, trailers, lorries, individuals, etc., whilst the hirer is using their facilities.
- Save for death or personal injury caused by negligence, Castle Copse equestrian nor its landowners or employees does not accept any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to hirers, riders, horses, owners, spectators, property, vehicles and their contents and accessories or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever during their attendance at the premises in connection with the usage of any of the equestrian facilities. Riding, working with horses and handling horses can be dangerous and horses may be unpredictable. Persons using the facilities do so at their own risk and the proprietor will not be held responsible for any accident, injury or loss.
- You cannot use the course unless you are accompanied by an adult who can provide assistance in case of an accident. Horse jumping can be dangerous. The jumps are of a variety of heights and difficulty, do not exceed your abilities, riders should familiarise themselves before jumping. Jumps must only be ridden in the correct direction. Particular care must be taken if the course is damp or wet.
- Anyone using the course must have a member of their group with a mobile telephone in case of emergency and knowledge of first aid is advisable.
- Consideration must be given at all times to other horses/riders. i.e. only one horse at a time per fence unless riding as a pair. No overtaking without permission from the other rider.
- You confirm that you carry third party liability insurance and agree that you may be called upon to produce evidence of such insurance.
- Please ensure you do not attend if you or anyone in your household has any symptoms of Covid-19.
- Castle Copse Equestrian reserves the right to close the facility with no notice and stop any current hire, for reasons including, (but not restricted to): Health and safety, adverse weather conditions, emergency circumstances.
- Castle Copse Equestrian has taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of everyone who uses the course. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring. Castle Copse and its owners do not insure the rider, their horse or tack and equipment, users should have in place adequate insurance to cover all eventualities.
- Castle Copse Equestrian reserves the right to remove riders from the facilities and hire money will not be refunded
- Castle Copse Equestrian does not accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, riders or any other persons or property whatsoever.
- Please ensure you have your booking confirmation details on you, either printed or accessible on your mobile.
- Any bad behaviour or language towards other users or staff will not be tolerated and will result in an immediate suspension or ban.
- No rider will be allowed onto the course unless these terms and conditions are accepted*
