If you are interested in qualification, you must register as a showing member with the relevant organisation.

This show is a qualifier for The Sunshine Tour Championships held at The All-England Showground, Hickstead from Thursday 12th – Sunday 15th September 2024. The Championships are for unaffiliated and amateur competitors in Dressage from Intro to Elementary, Show Jumping from Lead Rein to 1.0m; Showing for lead rein, in-hand, ridden, working hunter, veterans, plus many more, Eventer’s Challenge from 50cm through to 90cm. Qualification: Dressage & Show Jumping 1st – 3rd place; Showing & Eventers Challenge 1st – 4th place. Qualification does not pass down the line. Registration of qualification must be completed within 1 month of competition (sooner for late July shows). Restrictions apply to both horse and competitor’s previous winnings and amateur status, please check the website for Terms & Conditions. Veteran Horse Society – AREA QUALIFIER 2024. June Show Only First round qualifier for the Veteran Horse Society Supreme Final: VETERAN HORSE OF THE YEAR 2024 Kindly Sponsored by Allen & Page. Open to members and non-members. All competitors and grooms must adhere to VHS Rules in all circumstances. Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification. VHS Regional Final qualification. All competitors placed 1st to 4th in each age category will qualify for the corresponding class at VHS Regional Finals. Members must carry their cards in the ring and have their showing card signed by the judge in the ring as proof of qualification. Non-members will receive a red qualification card which can be exchanged for signed showing card when applying for VHS membership. This MUST be done within 21 days of qualification. It is the competitors’ responsibility to present their Showing card to the judge. Those wishing to join or renew with the Society will need to apply for this before 1st April each year or a late penalty fee of £15 will be charged. Regional Finals are open to members only. All competitors are eligible to enter open classes at the National Veteran Championships, to be held at Arena UK, Lincolnshire on 30th August – 1st September 2024. EQUIFEST QUALIFIERS WILL RUN AT ONLY JUNE AND JULY SHOWS The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify for the relevant Equifest Championship class to be held at Arena UK Showground on the 1ST -4th August 2024.

This show is affiliated to Equine Sports UK (ESUK) Grassroots Championships taking place at Arena UK, Grantham, Lincolnshire on the 25th July – 27th July 2024. The three highest placed exhibits will qualify in each class

RULES OF THE SHOW
o No horse or pony under the age of 4 may be ridden on the showground. o Do not empty trailer or horsebox muck onto the premises. Do not leave litter use the bins provided or take it home. o Do not leave vehicles unlocked and keep valuables out of sight. o The organisers accept no liability for loss or damage to personnel, equines, vehicles or goods. o Competitors must wear correct riding clothes and hard hats, correctly fastened and to the correct standard (PAS015/VG01.040), must have BS kite mark and three-point fastening to be worn at all times whilst mounted. o No jeans. o No whip/stick to exceed 30”’. o Riders/handlers of stallions or colts to be 14 years and over on 1st January 2024. o Handlers under 16 to wear hard hats, correctly fastened and to the correct standard (PAS015/VG01.040), must have BS kite mark and three-point fastening to be worn at all times. o Anyone believed to be behaving in an inappropriate manner will be asked to leave the showground. o The judges/organisers decision is final. o NMRC Standing Rules to apply. o We strongly advise personal insurance cover. o You are strongly advised to have your own Public Liability Insurance o (Liability Insurance can be gained by membership of British Riding Clubs, British Horse Society or the Pony Club) o Dogs must be always on a lead and under strict control whilst on the showground. o Anyone found in breach of this will be asked to leave the showground immediately. o BRC rules specify that: o stallions must be lead from a bit with reins or a lead rope on minimum length of 2.5 metres, o a stallion disc must display each side of the bridle o No person must bring a stallion to a competition without ensuring at all times that competitors, ponies/horses and members of the public at not put at risk
