British Riding Clubs Area 7 Combined Challenge Qualifier at Ely Eventing Centre, CB6 2TY, Saturday 18th May 2024.
This will consist of a course of showjumping and cross-country fences in one grass arena.Classes from 70cm to 100cm, juniors & seniors, Team & individual competition. The 90cm & 100cm classes will be mixed age group, so a team may consist of a mixture of juniors & seniors.
Horses can only jump in 2 classes, and they must be consecutive heights.
All hats must have a current pink BRC/BE/PC hat tag. There will be a trained official on the day who can do this for you if your hat doesnt currently have one. For up-to-date hat rules, please see the current BRC handbook.
A body protector to the current standard is mandatory, as fixed XC fences will be used. The current standard is BETA 2018 Blue Label. The only exception to this is the Exo Body Cage which will still be accepted but must have a BETA Level 3 2000 label. The rider must also inform the secretary at the event that they will be using an Exo Body Cage.
Riders must wear a number bib with number on the front & back.
Horses must be up-to-date with flu vaccinations, and microchips are also compulsory.
Entries close 27th April. Times will be published on 15th May.
Volunteers - Qualifiers require a lot of helpers to enable them to run, so every club must provide some volunteers (pro-rata to their number of entries), perhaps stewarding, pole picking, etc. Do you have a preference to helping before or after competing, or can you bring a helper with you? If each competitor helps for a little while, then it shares the load.
The Championship will be held at Aston le Walls, Daventry, Northamptonshire NN11 6RT on 5th-6th October 2024.
Paramedics and vet will be in attendance on the day.
All other areas at the venue, apart from parking, warmup and competitions, are strictly out of bounds. Non compliance will result in elimination and a ban from this venue.
Pleae clear all droppings and hay before you leave. No mucking out of lorries into the carpark.
Dogs must be kept on a short lead, and cleaned up after.
The organisers and land owners will not hold themselves responsible for any incident or injury to riders, owners and spectators, or any other person or property whatsoever, however caused. It shall be deemed a t condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify the promoters against any legal action arising from such incident.
