All classes £15.00 plus £3.00 per competitor First Aid
cover.
Late entries on the day at a fee of £20.00 per class plus £3.00 First
Aid.
Qualifiers for BSPS Winter Championships 2024
This show is affiliated to the BSPS and all persons entering, competing,
showing or otherwise taking part in BSPS classes, whether or not members of
the BSPS are subject to the the rules of the BSPS including the disciplinary
procedures and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the
BSPS.
BSPS ELIGIBILITY OF PONIES OWNERS & RIDERS
All rules as per the 2024 BSPS Rule & Show Handbook. All ponies must be four years old or
over. Ages for riders as per the BSPS Rule & Show handbook.
The following classes are qualifiers for the BSPS Winter Championship Show:
Novice Heritage Ridden Classes the 1st,2nd and 3rd placed animals will qualify.
Open/Restricted Heritage Ridden classes the three highest placed Restricted animals will
qualify. Riders on Restricted animals MUST wear an armband when they enter the ring.BSPS Winter Worker Stakes – the highest placed 3 ponies will qualify for the BSPS Winter
Championships together with the highest placed junior rider.
Owners and Riders MUST be CURRENT BSPS Members to qualify for the BSPS Winter
Championships.
Exhibitors in qualifying positions, who have never been members of the BSPS are allowed 7
working days in which to become members and register their ponies.
The committee reserves the right to refuse any entries.
No entry will be refunded under any circumstances. All entries must be paid in full when
entering if monies have not been paid before the show entry to showground will not be
permitted.
Correctly secured Skull Caps/Riding Hats Nos, PASO15 2011,VG1, (BS)EN1384 2017,ASTM
F1163 04a onwards, SNELL E2016 AS/NZS 3838 2006 onwards MUST be worn by riders at all
times when mounted. Hats should have a plain cover either Black, Navy Blue, Brown, Grey
or Green. Velvet covers are encouraged. The BSPS encourages members to have their hats
tagged through the BSPS scheme or via the Pony Club Scheme. Hat Tagging in BSPS classes is
compulsory. (We are accepting British Eventing, British Riding Club and Pony Club tags)
Body Protectors MUST be worn when jumping in any WHP and WH classes including
practice ring at BSPS Affiliated Shows.
No claim can be entertained for anything that may happen to competitors, onlookers or
their property, servants, horses or ponies in connection with this show. It shall be a
condition of entry that each entrant shall indemnify the promoters against any legal action
from such accident.
The committee reserves the right to change judges; amalgamate or divide classes depending
on entries.
All animals entered must hold a current flu certificate random inspections may be held.
In interests of safety a horse or pony should be moved at walk except in showing rings or
warm up areas and must adhere to horse walkways. STRICTLY NO LUNGEING
No animal can be brought onto the showground unless it is entered in a class
Anyone failing to abide by the rules of the show, displaying rude or aggressive behaviour
will be asked to leave the showground without any refund of entry and reported to BSPS.
The judges decision is final.
PLEASE ENSURE YOU TAKE ALL RUBBISH HOME WITH YOU AND DO NOT MUCK OUT ON
SHOWGROUND. Could all exhibitors, riders and helpers use the skips provided to pick up
droppings in arena/warm up areas.
CLASSES WILL FOLLOW ON SO KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR RING – IF A NOT BEFORE TIME IS
GIVEN CLASSES WILL NOT START BEFORE THAT TIME.
