Show Information

ENTRIES CLOSE 3 DAYS BEFORE EACH EVENT IF NOT FULL,(ONLINE PRE ENTRY ONLY)
The course will be built in two phases ,first section of show jumps followed by simulated cross country fences obstacles and may include ditches, coffins, angled rails, corners, bullfinches, water and bounces. This also offers Working Hunters and Working Hunter Ponies a perfect practice opportunity.

 

This show is a qualifier for The Sunshine Tour Championships held at The All-England Showground, Hickstead from

Thursday 12 th – Sunday 15 th September 2024. The Championships are for unaffiliated and amateur competitors in

Dressage from Intro to Elementary, Show Jumping from Lead Rein to 1.0m; Showing for lead rein, in-hand, ridden,

working hunter, veterans, plus many more, Eventer’s Challenge from 50cm through to 90cm.

Qualification: Dressage & Show Jumping 1 st – 3 rd place; Showing & Eventers Challenge 1 st – 4 th place. Qualification

does not pass down the line.

Registration of qualification must be completed within 1 month of competition (sooner for late July shows).

Payment Details & Event Fees

All entries in advance. Entries must only be made via My Riding Life.
Payment is secure and it goes directly to Golden Cross Equestrian Centre.
You will receive an email confirmation of your booking and payment.
ENTRY FEES: All classes £25, late entries on the day if not full £30 plus £5 first aid fee

Prize Information

PRIZES: CLASS 1,Entry/Hire vouchers of £35,£30,£25,£25 CLASS 2,3,4.5, Entry vouchers of £50, £30, £25, £25, at the ratio of one prize per ten starters .

Special Classes

BE Qualifiers (80cm, 90cm and 1m): The Championships will be held over the weekend of 24/25 February 2024 at Aston le Walls Equestrian Centre.

Withdrawals/Refunds

WITHDRAWAL POLICY – SHOWS
Withdrawals for online bookings for shows will only be made if made by email to admin@goldencrossec.com up until 7 days before the booked date. These will then be refunded as a credit on the account and will not include the booking fee which is paid to our online entry agents. Credits on the account can be used at future events at Golden Cross run by the team, please contact us when you would like to use it. Withdrawals made after the 7 days before the booked date will not be credited unless the withdrawal is made before times/ draws are published and a vet or hospital certificate is provided.

Terms & Conditions

Competitors will jump a course of (8-10) show jumps immediately followed by (10-12) cross country fences,including a water fence and will finish with the last fence as a show jump, the joker fence .The joker fence will be approximately 10cm higher than the rest of the course (this is not optional), if you knock the Joker fence down you will incur 6 penalties. The optimum time will be based on a speed of 375mpm for AE100 and AE100Open, 360mpm for AE90 and 350mpm for AE80 as agreed with the course designer depending upon the size and terrain of the arena.

First disobedience SJ - 4 penalties XC - 20 penalties

Second disobedience at same fence SJ - 8 penalties XC - 40 penalties

Third disobedience SJ - Elimination XC - Elimination

Knock down of obstacle SJ - 4 penalties

Knock down of Joker fence - 6 penalties

Fall of horse/ rider - Elimination

Every commenced second in excess of the optimum time SJ & XC 0.4 penalties 

Every commenced second in excess of 5 seconds under the optimum time SJ & XC 0.4 penalties

Exceeding time limit, error of course, retaking obstacle already jumped - Elimination


You agree that the information you have provided in connection with your entry will be disclosed to British Eventing.
Should you receive an injury as the direct result of an accident occurring whilst you are participating in any event organised by an affiliated event organiser, any medical reports relating to your condition will be passed to British Eventing. Any medical reports passed to British Eventing will be held on your records and passed in confidence to the UK Transport Research Lab for the purposes of safety analyses.
The competitor confirms that they have appropriate third-party insurance cover in place for the day of the competition for which they are entering. The competitor agrees to comply with all the relevant BE rules as detailed in the BE Rules and Members' handbook, including those relating to vaccinations & BEFAR (BEF Anti-Doping Rules).
