A late entry fee of £10.00 will apply to all entries received after midday on 13th July 2023. Wait lists will be held if oversubscribed.
ANY changes to horse or rider made after midday 13th July 2023 will be subject to a £10.00 admin fee. Change of horse and rider constitutes a new entry.

NO CHANGES TO ENTRY WILL BE PERMITTED WITHIN 3 DAYS OF THE COMPETITION

THIS EVENT WILL BE JUDGED AND SCORED UNDER BE RULES 
BODY PROTECTORS MUST BE WORN - ALL COMPETITORS WILL NEED TO PRINT THEIR OWN A4 NUMBERS AND USE THEIR OWN NUMBER BIB

Payment is secure and it goes directly to West Wilts EC. You will receive an email confirmation of your class entry and payment.

THIS WILL BE REFUNDED IF YOU CANNOT COMPETE
THERE WILL BE EXTERNAL FIRST AID, AMBULANCE and VET IN ATTENDANCE

Stabling Information: Yes

Over-night stables are in permanent buildings and cost £30.45 per stable per night, available from 16:00 on the day of arrival till 15:00 on the day of departure.
The stables come with a shavings bed and we ask that they are fully mucked out and banked up or re-laid on departure.
You will need to provide all equipment for your horse/pony.
West Wilts EC reserve the right to charge an additional clean up fee of between £5.00 & £10.00 for any stables not correctly mucked out.

There will be a stabling list and directions on the door to the main office.

Sorry but we do not have electric hook up.
There is NO SMOKING allowed anywhere on or around the stable yards.
ALL dogs must be on a short lead at ALL times.

The external door to the toilets will be left open and lights for this will be left on over-night.
Use of arenas outside of the competition is by prior arrangement/booking only, and availability cannot be guaranteed.
There is no hacking/exercise available on any of the grass areas.

Prize Information

RESULTS: These will be posted on www.eventingscores.co.uk  live throughout the day. 

PRIZES: Prizes will be presented on the day approximatley  20 minutes after the results are verified/finalised online for each class.

Special Classes

 NSEA - All entries must be entered online as individuals and MUST include School Name. Team Managers are then asked to send a completed Team Declaration List by email to Kerry - info@westwilts.com by 9am Thursday 20th July 2023 at the latest.

Withdrawals/Refunds

A refund, less £10.00 admin fee, will be made for withdrawals made via email before the close of entries at Midday on 13th July.

PLEASE ADVISE US OF WITHDRAWALS VIA EMAIL info@westwilts.com   After the close of entries, no refund will be given unless replaced from wait list. These will be subject to a £10.00 admin fee. The booking fee is non-refundable in all cases. In the event of abandonment (or cancellation of event due to any infectious diseases) entry fees will be returned less £15.00 abandonment fee – start fees will be refunded in full.

Terms & Conditions

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY.

  • All entries and payments to be made online.
  • ALL horses must not be under current investigation for infectious diseases including, for example, Equine Herpes Virus (EHV), Equine Influenza, Strangles.
  • All Horses must not have been in contact with and is not kept on the same premises as a horse known to have or be under investigation for the neurological form of EHV, Equine Influenza, Strangles or Equine Viral Arteritis. 
  • All activity will be in accordance with the advice from the relevant national body, and ANY social distancing guidelines must always be adhered to.
  • HORSES/PONIES MUST NOT BE LEFT TIED UP OUTSIDE UNATTENDED.
  • Please do not park in front of or block access to the loading bay.
  • PLEASE PRINT/MAKE YOUR ALLOCATED RIDER NUMBER, THIS CAN BE DONE VIA www.eventingscores.com NUMBERS WILL BE ALLOCATED WITH TIMES. THIS MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES AND MUST BE EASILY READABLE.
  • NO spectators or filming are allowed in any of the warm up or competition arenas. Please use viewing areas.
  • Warm up time may be limited by numbers allowed in arena to an estimated 30 – 40 minutes.
  • You are expected to ride on your allocated times. If you do not do so, you risk being unable to compete.
  • No scoreboards or screens will be used on event and all scores/results will be published live online at www.eventingscores.co.uk.
  • DRESSAGE SHEETS - will be available for collection when you section is finished, or email info@westwilts.com and we will scan a copy to you. 
  • PLEASE CLEAR UP ANY DROPPINGS OR HAY IN THE LORRY PARK.
  • Dogs are allowed but MUST be kept on a short lead at all times. No Exceptions.

GENERAL CONDITIONS AND RULES

RULES

EVENT WILL BE RUN UNDER AFFILIATED RULES FOR HORSE TRIALS.
Scoring and Penalties will be run in accordance with Affiliated Events.
The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry. No horse or pony may compete in more than one class.

PASSPORTS/VACCINATION CERTIFICATES – MINIMUM OF WITHIN THE LAST 12 MONTHS A passport/vaccination certificate with a complete history MUST be brought with the horse/pony.  Please check WWEC current vaccination policy on our home page. No changes will be allowed on the day in the event of Vaccinations failures.

XC COURSE
There are 4 courses, all over fixed fences and approximately 2 km on permanent pasture.
YELLOW for the 70cm PURPLE for the 80 CMS ORANGE for the 90 CMS PINK for the 100 CMS
All competitors are responsible for making way for and not impeding overtaking competitors. Inconsiderate riding leading to obstructing another competitor could lead to elimination at the Steward's discretion.
Elimination and Retiring Any competitor who is eliminated or who retires must leave the course immediately at a walk.
Walking the course. The course will be open for inspection on foot only from 14:00pm until 18:00pm on the day before the competition or on the competition day.
Results: The winner will be the competitor with the least number of faults. Results will be posted online at www.eventingscores.co.uk throughout the day.
NUMBER BIBS
Competitors must wear the correct number at all times when mounted. COMPETITORS MUST SUPPLY 3 COPIES OF THEIR OWN A4 NUMBERS 2 FOR YOUR BIBS AND 1 DISPLAYED IN YOUR VEHICLE WINDSCREEN. These can be downloaded when you pick up your times from www.eventingscores.co.uk

HATS & BODY PROTECTORS
Everyone mounted, whether competing or not, must wear an appropriate hard hat (to comply with current BE Rules) For the cross country element body protectors are obligatory as per the BE approved list (See current rule books) Half chaps/matching boots may be worn

QUERIES OR OBJECTIONS
Objections must be made within 15 minutes of posting the results. Via email to info@westwilts.com a fee of £20 will be payable if the objection is not upheld. 

PRIZE GIVING
Onsite prize giving – in the Marquee 20 minutes after verified results are published for the class.

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Neither the organisers nor the sponsors accept any liability for any accidents, injury, illness or damage to or by horses, owners, riders, spectators, ground or any persons or property whatsoever. We strongly recommend that all persons entering West Wilts have Third Party Insurance in order to protect themselves from injury or damage compensation claims caused by them or their animals.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
The Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the Organiser, Officials and Stewards. You are politely requested to comply with the requests of any Official in order to ensure the safety of yourself and others while attending the event. Third Party Liability insurance for horse and rider is strongly recommended.

GENERAL
Horses can easily be frightened and can be dangerous. All pedestrians are requested to keep clear from horse areas/lanes and to avoid behaviour that might alarm horses. Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times. Emergency Services must have access to all parts of the event site at all times and attendees public must not park vehicles so as to obstruct access. Disability Notice Any person attending the event who suffers from a disability and/or have a wheeled disability conveyance should park in the area designated for disabled parking. Access to the XC course may be limited for safety reasons. Disability wheeled motorised conveyance owners should ensure they have third party liability insurance cover.
