This eventing camp is ideal for anyone who wants to progress their eventing skills, whether you have completed your first One Day Event or are working towards having a go, to progressing your current level and taking a step up. This camp is suitable for riders comfortable at 50cm through to 100cm.
This camp is designed specifically to give attendees a fantastic all round training experience which includes not only in saddle preparation and skill development, but also mental and physical preparation for competition, for both horse and rider.
Included in your stay:
4 x mounted sessions (2 on the Friday, 2 on the Saturday) which will include Dressage, Show Jumping, XC including technical elements, and start box and speed training.
Focussed discussions and talks including horse and rider fitness and readiness, feeding for performance, a guided cross country walk and effective warm up and cool down to support performance and recover for the horse and rider.
Daily mindset dismounted sessions including how to set realistic goals, building effective training plans to achieve your goals, staying focussed under pressure and tips for handling on the day competition nerves.
Pilates session on the Friday morning to get us all thinking about how we use our body to perform and also prevent injury.
2 nights stabling - additional night is available Saturday to Sunday for £25.00 with use of the hacking and XC fields on the Sunday should you wish to extend your stay beyond the camp itinerary. Please note the arenas will not be available on the Sunday.
Evening meal will be provided on the Thursday and Friday along with basic breakfast options each morning, light refreshments and snacks.
Kitchen facilities are available which include a microwave, toaster and kettle.
Shower and toilet facilities are also available.
Attendees will need to provide their own sleeping quarters - tent or lorry etc. or stay locally if you wish. You will need to provide your own hay, bedding, feed for your horse. You will need to bring your own drinks including any alcoholic beverages, snacks and lunch options.
Dogs are welcome providing they are well behaved. They are permitted to be walked off lead around the hacking areas provided their recall is good and do not pose a risk to any livestock or horses or riders. Dogs will not be permitted on to any of the main yard areas or down to the shower or kitchen areas.
